Day 97 - As Day 100 draws closer, I’ve found myself thinking back to where this all began…
100 days. 100 faces. 100 spirits.
This project has always been about so much more than a simple number.
It is about them.
The ones with names, and the ones without.
The ones I’ve spent countless hours with, and those I was lucky enough to cross paths with, if only for a moment.
The familiar faces. The fleeting faces.
The bold ones, the quiet ones, the curious ones, and the ones who preferred to keep their distance.
The more time I have spent with them, watching them and simply being in their world, the more I have come to appreciate just how individual they really are.
Every single one different.
Every single one their own spirit.
Every single one special.
And that, for me, is what these 100 days have always been about.
Not simply sharing photographs of the Australian Brumby, but sharing them........ as individuals.
Because whether they have a name we know, or remain a beautiful stranger on the mountain, each one has their own story.
Each and every one matters.

Day 95 - In tribute to the Australian Brumby....... 100 Faces, 100 Spirits, 100 Days.
Some have names - Names we recognise. Faces we know. Stories we have followed-Others don’t.

They may have been a face glimpsed across the plains, a quiet presence amongst a mob, or a brumby I was lucky enough to cross paths with just once.

But a name doesn’t make one more important than another.

They don’t need to be known by us to matter.

They don’t need a name for their life to have meaning.

Over the past 95 days, I have shared some very familiar faces alongside others whose names we will never know.

And throughout this project, I have deliberately chosen not to mention names.

Because the name was never what mattered.

The face did.
The moment did.
The individual did.

Known or unknown. Named or unnamed.

Each and every Brumby matters.
