ser Sortiment. Die große Leica Galerie im ersten Stock präsentiert hochkarätige und abwechslungsreiche Ausstellungen namhafter Fotografen und aufstrebender Newcomer aus aller Welt. Die erste Leica Galerie wurde 1976 in Wetzlar gegründet und befindet sich mittlerweile im Hauptsitz der Leica Camera AG. Heute wurde die Ausstellung „Re-Light! 80 Jahre Bregenzer Festspielbühnen | Jan von Holleben“ eröffnet.

Anlässlich des 80-jährigen Jubiläums der Bregenzer Festspiele lädt die neue fotografische Serie von Jan von Holleben dazu ein, die ikonischen Bühnenbilder der Festspiele auf ganz neue Weise zu entdecken. Aus historischen Bühnenmodellen entstehen überraschende, farbenfrohe und zeitgenössische Bildwelten.
Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Jan von Holleben und die Bregenzer Festspiele für die wunderbare Zusammenarbeit!
Die Ausstellung ist von 13.06.2026 bis 23.08.2026 zu sehen.

Wenn Klang sichtbar wird 🎻
Mit „Resonanz. Wenn Klang zum Bild wird“ eröffnet die Leica Galerie Wien eine außergewöhnliche Ausstellung des Violinisten und Fotografen Wilfried K. Hedenborg.

Seit 25 Jahren Mitglied der Wiener Philharmoniker, richtet Hedenborg seine Kamera dorthin, wo sonst nur Musik entsteht: mitten ins Orchester.
Seine Fotografien sind intime Momentaufnahmen eines Kosmos, der normalerweise im Verborgenen bleibt. Zwischen Konzentration und Flow, Blickkontakt und Atem wird spürbar, wie Musik als nonverbale Kommunikation entsteht – im Dialog mit großen Maestri wie Franz Welser-Möst, Seiji Ozawa oder Tugan Sokhiev.
In kontrastreichem Schwarzweiß, oft analog aufgenommen, verschmelzen Klang und Bild zu zeitlosen Porträts – sensibel, unmittelbar und voller Resonanz. #

It was wonderful to have you all join us for the Leica Get Together. Markus Ziegelwanger guided us through the project Black Gold Digger, a close collaboration with the Vinyl & Music Festival .cgg
At the heart of the project is the task of portraying vinyl collectors and making their personalities visible through photography.

It was inspiring to gain such a thoughtful insight into the work, including behind-the-scenes perspectives and the collaboration with students from the Berufschule.
A selection of the works is currently on display at the Leica Store Seilergasse.

We look forward to welcoming you again soon at our next Leica Get Together.

Project leader Markus Ziegelwanger will guide us through the stories behind the project, offering exclusive insights into the creative process and what happens behind the scenes.

The talk begins at 16:30, and at the same time, the project results will be showcased on the Leica Store Vienna sales floor.

Thank You so much for join the 15. Leica Street Photo Contest Exhibition Opening.
The Leica Street Photo Contest is dedicated to street photography in all its facets. This year, the number of submissions was once again overwhelming: 2.803 people from 103 countries took part in the 15th edition, submitting a total of over 12,000 photographs. The Leica Gallery Vienna is showing 29 works that made it to the final selection and from which the jury has chosen the best picture. The great art of this style is to make the seemingly impossible possible: perfectly composed snapshots, intimate scenes on the street, the diversity of life in a fraction of a second.

The fascination of the exhibited photographs lies in the fact that they allow us to experience reality in a new way and enable a shift of perspective. Don’t miss the Exhibition at Leica Gallery Vienna until 25.04.2026 🔥
