Her voice, like silk
Her lips, like the drippings of honey.
How therapeutic it is to be in her embrace,
to cuddle and be immersed in
her feminine aura.
Her beauty radiates faster
than the speed of light,
She is an intercontinental treasure,
a natural reserve of
pure bliss and elegance.

"Heeey..." She wisphered,
Her eyes melted my soul
as I blinked
uncontrollably,
my mouth width-apart,
still shocked by the
delicacy of
her beauty.
Her skin, like bronze.
Elegant at every curve and edge
Tender, yet fierce in the most
outstanding way possible.
She does not draw attention,
She is, attention.

I found it! Yes, I, found, it! I have found the balance between non-chalance and acceptance. I have found that sweet, calming, and unbothered attitude of "C'est la vie", as the French would say.

It is that self-reassuring not-giving-an-F!, yet mindful lifestyle that doesn't plunge into escapism or unbearableness. I have found it! Oh boy! It’s a sweet consciousness of the transience of life and the acknowledgement of my limitations.

I have found that freedom to be, and the choice not to be. The freedom from the burden of external perceptions and internal judgement. To walk in a heightened state of self-awareness and empathy for myself and for those around me. To accept my mind and spirit as divine extensions and to cherish every part of my body as a temple worthy of admiration and care.

So, today, I live and walk in that freedom to take up space and be goofy or be serious, as I please. To sing, to dance, to pray and to worship, to smile, to laugh, to cry, to hug so tightly and be immersed in the essence of every pheromone; to love or to make it, and to abstain. To dress, and be elegant, to be n**e and be sexy, to attract and to withdraw, To just be! yes, to, just, be.☺️

Love became a luxury,
the pursuit of which meant
the neglect of who she was.
She had no need for acceptance
nor validation: she was a goddess,
the light of her beauty was undimmed.
Men and even women would stare at the
tangent of her cheek bones - as though freshly
out of the sculptor's oven. The vocal texture of her
voice was as smooth as silk and the taste of her lips,
sweeter than honey. The diameter of her backside was
like a smoking-hot piece of Pi π, sorry, I meant pie. Its
wide circumference was neck-bending, the flexibility
of her hips was jaw-dropping! But love became a
luxury, only a mere reflection of past pains and
fantasies of what could be. She loves love,
but she loves herself more. So, as she
wanders the road of relationships,
what will she forgo to attain love?
Or will love find her as she is -
poised and elgant - and
grab her by the hand
without needing to
break, fix, or
change
her?

Happy Valentine's Day! 🥰

Could our constant yearning for expressiveness, manifesting itself in various forms, be an instinctive rebellion to the frameworks of society and to life itself?

If you could be whatever
you wanted to be outside
of the compass of morality,
the dictates of religion, the scope
of ever-watching family eyes,
and the pleasures of hedonism,
what would you be?

Could we attain our highest
form of self - whatever that means,
individually or collectively, if we were
not conditioned by family,
society, or life itself?

Or, are we all only just manifestations
of various forms of conditioning?
At the end of it all, who are you?
I mean, truly, who. Are. You?

The women empowerment movement - from a human rights perspective - seeks to reduce the inequalities that women are challenged with in their respective endeavours. And to create avenues through which women can be their best possible selves without the limits that partriachy imposes. For instance, the masculinization of women in authority, as a way to discredit them, is one of the tactics of partriachy, because, it creates the impression that only men should be in authority. Hence, when a woman exercises authority, a patriarchal society sees that as a threat because to them, she wants to be like a man. Well, news flash! any man who feels threatened by a woman in authority is a fragile little baby.

Amidst the aches and dysfunction,
there lies within us a touch of the divine
- as were the anchor of a mighty ship,
firmly holding us away from the
void of the emptiness that calls.
Perhaps it's in the silence,
in the deep introspections,
when we self-regulate
and nurture the virtues
deposited within us.
