Some objects are a small piece of a much bigger picture
A camera passed down from a late grandfather, still allowing you to show him your life with every frame you take. A ring or a watch that makes you pause and remember, just for a second, every time the light catches it. An old hat hanging on a nail by the door weathered by the years of use.
A cowboy hat becomes much more with the +x sticker and the American Hat Co letters on it. It’s a hat that follows you along the journey of your life : not only does it shade your eyes from the bright sun, it also protects you from the rain, it follows in good times and in bad. It’s a hat that will ultimately be the one hanging on the wall representing a life well lived, the « Positive times » heritage from Keith Maddox
As for me, their hat represents my project « The thread that weaves deeper » and their belief in it when it was only a project.
It’s about believing that with faith, hard work and a good mindset, anything is possible.
Our clothes tell a story, our story, our beliefs, the roads that brought us to where we are today. As a photographer, I spend my life telling other people’s stories through a lens, it just happens to turn out my own clothes and images have been quietly telling mine all along. 🤠➕✖️
