How to edit photos in Lightroom without making your edits look overdone? 👇
-
If you’re getting into travel photography, photo editing can feel pretty complicated at first.
-
Exposure, colors, tone curves, masking, radial filters, linear gradients… there are a lot of tools, and knowing what to adjust and where is often the hardest part.
-
For this image, the biggest difference came from masking.
-
I used a radial filter to make the main subject stand out, a linear gradient to control the foreground and another mask to create a softer, dreamier look in the sky.
-
That’s why learning how to edit photos in Lightroom is not just about moving sliders. It’s about understanding how to guide the viewer’s eye through your photo.
-
And if you’re just starting out, I want to make this process easier for you. 🙌

Photographers… you don’t need an expensive camera or years of experience to take great travel photos. 📸
-
That’s exactly why I love the Fujifilm X100V 📸
-
It’s compact, easy to carry, and even if you’ve never used a camera before, you can get amazing results in Auto Mode.
-
The Fujifilm film simulations already give your photos beautiful colors straight out of the camera, so you can spend less time editing and more time enjoying your trip.
-
It’s the camera I bring on almost every vacation because it’s always with me.
-
Would you rather travel with a small camera or a big setup? 👇

90% of this photo isn’t my camera... it’s the light. 🌅
-
That’s why I photographed this resort at sunrise. Good light does most of the work, you just have to be there when it happens. 📸

For this shot, I focused on the symmetry. It’s such a simple composition technique, but it instantly makes a photo feel cleaner, more balanced, and a lot more interesting. 📸
-
I probably spent most of my vacation right here by the pool. ☀️

This balcony at sunset was too good not to photograph. 👀
-
I positioned the shot so the roof naturally frames the chairs. Small framing elements like this help guide the viewer’s eye and make the composition feel much more intentional. 📸

I spent one afternoon exploring Koh Yao Noi with my camera. 🌴
-
For this photo, I used the plants in the foreground to frame the scene. It adds depth and naturally draws your eye into the image. 📸

No photography tip for this one… 😅
-
The cat was just way too cute not to take a photo. 🐈📸

Best iced coffee at 35°C. ☕️🧊
-
Exactly what I needed after walking around all afternoon. 😅

I don’t know what it is... but I love 7-Eleven. 😂
-
And honestly, the logo just looks so good in photos. 📸

For this photo, composition was everything. 📸
-
I waited until the motorbike rider was in the perfect spot to complete the frame. Sometimes, patience makes all the difference.

This is what a gas station looks like on Koh Yao Noi. ⛽️😂
-
Definitely a little different from what I’m used to and that’s exactly why I had to take a photo.

For this photo, I used a blurry foreground to add more depth and naturally draw your eye

Your photos are lying to you and editing is how you reveal the truth 👀
-
Your camera captures the scene but it doesn’t capture what your eyes actually saw.
-
That’s why I always edit my travel photos.
✔️ Basic Corrections bring back light and balance.
✔️ Curves add depth and contrast.
✔️ Color Grading creates a consistent, cinematic look.
-
Editing isn’t about faking reality. It’s about bringing your vision to life.

While most people are still sleeping, I’m usually out with my camera.
-
Better light, fewer people and a completely different atmosphere.
-
Some of my favorite travel photos happened because I got up a little earlier than everyone else.
-
Trust me, the alarm is worth it 📸

It’s one of the first things I look for when I’m composing a shot.
-
Roads, paths, fences, rivers… anything that naturally guides the viewer’s eye through the frame.
-
Leading lines make your photos feel more intentional and help draw attention to the subject.
-
That’s why I try to use them whenever I can in my travel photography.
