Thank you so much for this recognition at the 10th Austrian Wedding Award! I remember the proposal of A&A very vividly. From months of planning via Zoom Call to India, location scouting and scheduling, to a very surprised A - she really had no clue! Again thank you for your trust 💌

My first year of full-time photography 💛

In 2023 I finally gained a little bit more trust, confidence and pride when it comes to my work. Not a lot, but a little bit. ✨

Also a big Thank You to my couples from Austria, Singapore, India and France. I learned so much about culture, communication and friendship with all of you. You also taught me that I can be proud of my work. 🫶🏼

2023 was also filled - I’m not gonna lie - with a lot of tears, „this will never work“-thoughts, selfdoubt, no sleep and endless work, but I really wanted it to work. And after this first year I can say that it really somehow worked. ☺️

Next year, 2024, will be special. I decided to focus on Elopements - it’s a risk for my business, but way more rewarding than huge events for me. 💌 In March/April I‘ll launch a Cinematic Photography Class for other photographers. And as I‘m speaker of two workshops/conferences I hope to see you in Leipzig at Julia x Gil Conference or at The Forest Workshop in Lower Austria.

Thank you for everyone who supports my business! No matter if it‘s on social media, with messages and bookings or recommendations. Starting a business from zero is hard work and I appreciate all of you a looot. 💛

Well, I just opened a bottle of sparkling wine, sitting in a cabine next to a fireplace and I‘ll enjoy three days of doing nooothing, before I start into my business year 2024. 🥂

Wedding and Elopement season 2023 sloooowly comes to an end. ✨ And with an ending also new beginnings are right around the corner.

2024 will be a year focused on intimate Elopements and couple photoshoots, away from glamorous and big weddings. Throughout 2023 I found myself even more bounded to nature, interested into the science of relationships and the art of creating photos and videos that really make you feel something. 💛 With my own development I personally don‘t see myself in a wedding world anymore, where the table-decoration is more important than the togetherness.

Pushing my photography from huge weddings to intimate elopements is indeed a risk for my business, since Elopements aren‘t yet a thing in Austria. Nevertheless my happiness depends on the things that fulfill my heart.

And when Elopements aren‘t a thing in Austria yet, well, then l‘ll be the person that will make it a thing, because I honestly believe in elopements 💛

So excited for the stories I get to tell in 2024!

Had the pleasure to be with I & B in Lower Austria exploring the woods and wandering through the fog.

It was a day that I enjoyed immensely, since I met this two beautiful souls. Thank you for your trust and the willingness to go beyond a classic couple photoshoot to enjoy this kind of moody and cinematic art.

These photos were edited with „Majestic“ by . 💛 It‘s their second preset - after „Emotive“ - and also the second one I own. I love how you stayed true to your cinematic vibes, but made it even easier to use, compared to your first preset. Thank you again for this masterpiece - this is my new favorite 💛

Where do I start? With the 6 hours car drive to Italy that we filled completely with talks? With the lightness and the laughter? With saying that this weekend is one to remember?

I really don‘t lie when I say that these days were very special. Filled with a lot of honesty and deep talkes.

This was not my first time in the Dolomites/Italy but my first time at Alpe di Siusi. I‘m amazed and humbled by what nature has created. And I‘m full of gratitude that I can move in it. Surrounded by nature, being exposed to all weather conditions - for me that is a couple shoot that embraces the heart. Yes please, more of that!

👋🏼🤍 hello to everyone who is new here

My introduction will follow on another day, because what is way more important are my beautiful and kind couples.

My couples with their brave hearts. They come in front of my camera, share their life and love with me. I think I‘ll never get used to this. And honestly, I don‘t want to get used to this.

The world is more beautiful when you see in everything a uniqueness.

And yes it often needs a lion heart to come in front of a camera and share kisses, hugs, laughter and stories, but I hope that in the end - you two forever (!) on a photograph - it was always worth it. 🤍

💡Think of 3 parts

When you start with the time of the ceremony as your middle point, you can easily calculate backward and forward.

💡 To plan with correct timeslots, ask your providers how long - for example - hair & make-up or the first look will take.

👉🏼 To sum it up:
1. Think of the things you want to do in each part.
2. Arrange them logically (for example: Hair & Make-Up before the First Look)
3. Ask the providers how long each task will take.
4. Now calculate backward or forward from the time the ceremony starts.

It sounds more dramatic than it actually is ✨

But yes, I remember very clearly my first weddings when I had noooo clue about wedding timetables. I remember that I asked my boyfriend (who already attended at that point as a musician hundreds of weddings) how this whole wedding-thing actually works haha.

So we all started somewhere and since I’m very confident in planning timelines with my couples now, I really would love to help you to find a timeline that fits to your location, your ideas and wishes for your wedding.

✍️ Wrote a sentence, deleted it. Wrote another one and deleted it again.

But all I want to say is thank you to all your kind messages, your advices and your own experiences with comparison & self-doubt. 🤍

Would love to give you my own advices and tell you about an enlightenment I had overnight, but I‘m not the right person to give an advice on this topic, nor have I experienced an extraordinary change in mindset. I still compare myself and I still have doubts - it‘s a process. :)

❕But what I can pass on is the following: You are definitely not alone with your feeling! Every message I received was a story about self-doubt (sad, right…?)

Also: Some of you praised the courage to share these very personal thoughts. I just think, all of us would feel a lot better if we stopped automatically answering, "Fine." to the question, "How are you?"
