Another image from Hallstatt

This image was shot way back in 2021, in Hallstatt. Hallstat is known for its serene beauty, the landscape and the architecture are rumoured to have been the inspiration for Ar Arendalle from the movie Frozen.

I had to meticulously plan for this one single shot because during the winters the sky is mostly overcast and I had to get the timing right. It took me a week of planning to figure out the logistics and the weather.

I had to stand in the freezing cold weather for hours, gathering different exposures. It was a tough ordeal to go through especially because I had to cycle a long distance.

But in the end, it was definitely worth it!

Munich
This image was shot in 2021, on top of St. Peter's Church in Munich. It's particularly special because during winters you seldom get any clear sky, it's mostly cloudy. I had to wait in line for about 2 hours at the least, and mind you this is in peak winter, where the temperatures were freezing. Up until the point during my climb the sky was overcast but right when I reached the top it cleared out. It was almost as if it had cleared out just for me.

The two towers that you see are from the Frauenkirche ( Church of our lady ). An interesting fact about the bell tower that you see in this image, the towers were built deliberately at 99 meters and not 100 meters, so that they wouldn't rival God's perfection.

Hallstatt!
