One of the best things about photography?

Sometimes the most beautiful sessions are the ones that were never really planned.

A couple of days before this shoot, I suddenly had a free evening because another session got cancelled. So I put out a spontaneous call, and these two said yes.

No big plans, no pressure, no expectations. Just a warm summer evening, a field, beautiful light, and two people completely lost in their own little world.

These are the moments I love most. The ones that happen naturally. The ones that remind me that you don’t need a special occasion to create something meaningful together.

So if you’ve ever thought about booking a shoot but kept waiting for the “perfect” moment — this is your sign. Sometimes the spontaneous ones turn out to be the best.

Back in February I spent some time in Portugal and of course I could not resist photographing this beautiful landscape while I was there.
What made this shoot even funnier is that .spin answered my Instagram story and turned out to be from Austria as well, just randomly being in Portugal at the same time. Some things really work out perfectly.

These two made everything so easy. Absolute chaos in the best way possible, constantly joking around and up for every silly idea. It felt more like hanging out than working and I am really grateful for the time we spent together.

Now I am very much looking forward to the start of wedding season. June is finally around the corner and with that there will hopefully be wedding photos here again very soon. Until then, I hope you enjoy these kinds of stories just as much.

Cancer is terrifying, unfair, and deeply cruel. And yet, some people still manage to carry so much strength through it.

Susi reached out to me and asked if I could take portraits of her while she’s going through chemotherapy and losing her hair. I had never experienced something this personal before, and honestly, I was nervous at first. I didn’t know how emotional it would feel standing behind the camera in such a vulnerable moment.

But during the shoot, all I could see was courage.

Not the kind of courage that is loud or dramatic — the quiet kind. The kind that keeps showing up every day even when your world has completely changed.

This shoot was intimate, raw, and incredibly moving to me. It reminded me how strong people can be, even in moments where they feel broken. And it reminded me that beauty is not something cancer can take away.

Thank you!

This year, I found myself returning once again to simple spring portrait quickies—kept spontaneous, unplanned, and intentionally light. A few days after one of our pair shoots, I reached out to and asked if she’d be up for a few more quick portraits. No big setup, no expectations—just a short moment to create.

What draws me to portraits is their honesty. There’s something raw and unfiltered in those brief, unprepared sessions—when nothing is overthought, and everything just is. Those are the moments where people feel most real to me, and that’s what I try to capture.

February feels far away already, but this one stuck with me.

Portugal gave us everything that day — heavy wind, dark skies, that kind of stormy light you can’t plan, only hope for. And her fire-red hair just cut through all of it like it belonged exactly there.

These are the shoots I love the most. When it doesn’t feel staged, when it just flows. When we’re all on the same wavelength and I can let go, follow the moment, and push my creativity without overthinking.

More of this, always.

It’s always fascinating how paths cross, drift apart, and somehow find their way back together. Meeting you both felt calm, natural, and quietly emotional all at once. Thank you for this wonderfully peaceful and heartfelt shooting.

Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. Being invited into someone else’s reality — even just for a little while — is something I never take for granted. To witness people as they are, to be allowed into their space, their connection, their way of being… that’s incredibly meaningful to me.

For me, it’s never just about taking photos. It’s about being together, getting to know each other, sensing the atmosphere, and allowing something honest to unfold. The images are only one part — the shared experience is what stays.

Thank you, Ria & Wolf, for your trust, your openness, and this beautiful time.

Not a big production.
Just a day that feels like yours.

You don’t hold onto it too tightly.
You let it happen as it comes.

And somewhere in between all of that,
there’s this ease between you.
You can see it.

No big movement, no visible emotion.
Just hands, close enough to feel present.

It’s not about holding tightly.
More about not pulling away.

The kind of connection that doesn’t ask for attention,
but stays anyway.

Spring in Vienna, please come back already 🌸

These are from a couple shoot last year with a magnolia tree in full bloom — and honestly, I miss this kind of light and temperature so much.

I really can’t wait to shoot outside again without freezing. Spring is just perfect for couple sessions: everything feels a bit softer, but still natural, and you don’t have to fight harsh sun or winter gloom.

If you’re thinking about doing a shoot:
– go for simple, light outfits (nothing too busy)
– late afternoon / early evening works best for light
– don’t stress about posing too much, just move and interact
– blossoms are great, but any quiet outdoor spot works

Spring is short, so if you’ve been thinking about it, this is your sign.

spring shoots are officially on my mind again.
