katina asked if she could bring her horse to the shoot. My first thought was “I have no idea what I’m doing with horses.” My second thought was “let’s find out.” This is why I love working the way I do, it’s never just my vision, it’s yours too. Your ideas, your impulses, your authenticity. Always a collaboration.

If you have an idea, a prop, an animal, a story you want in your shoot, tell me. I’m always up for it. So what would be your favorite prop :) ?

I had the pleasure of joining Pia | Hochzeitsfotografin Steiermark as a second shooter for Flora and Kristians wedding at Stücklerhof Lavanttal .
The ceremony took place in a beautiful little clearing in the woods, such a lovely place to get married. And then, right in the middle of the ceremony, the rain started pouring and the thunder rolled in.

We somehow all found shelter and waited for the storm to pass. And honestly, it made the whole thing even more memorable. People were running through the rain, everyone was laughing, and nobody seemed to care about getting wet. Later, we all ended up in the next room, trying to dry off our clothes and just enjoying the chaos of it all.

It was such a relaxed and joyful wedding to be part of, and I loved being there to capture it alongside Pia.

Hopefully there will be many more weddings for us to photograph together next year. 🤝

It was so nice to finally spend some time with Tarasia Salix༄ Yoga | Arttherapy ꩜ again. We hadn’t seen each other in way too long, so we made a little shooting date and ended up doing these yoga portraits in the river.

I just really love doing these shoots with her. But even more than that, I love that we can just hang out, take photos, talk, laugh and spend some time together again. It felt a bit like catching up with an old friend while doing something we both enjoy.

One of my favorite things is doing the couple photos before the ceremony.

You actually get a moment to slow down. No guests waiting, no rushing from one thing to the next. Just the two of you, walking through the woods, taking a deep breath before the day really begins. And once the ceremony is over, the portraits are already done and you can spend the rest of the day with your people.

These two were just so lovely to photograph. Young, happy, completely in their own little world and genuinely excited to marry each other. Everything felt easy because they were simply being themselves.

And can we talk about the bride for a second? She honestly looked like she had stepped out of a Pre-Raphaelite painting. I don’t think I’ve ever photographed someone who reminded me of those paintings this much.

I’m pretty sure this won’t be the last post from this wedding. There are way too many favorites. 🖤

Second shooting a wedding for Pia | Hochzeitsfotografin Steiermark at Schloss Vasoldsberg , capturing a day that felt as light and effortless as the couple themselves. From quiet moments beneath the trees to the last golden light of the evening, they never stopped smiling. It was such a joy to document their love story from behind the scenes.

I just love in-home sessions.

There’s something so special about stepping into a couple’s home. You get such a different feeling for who they are. The little details, the way they move around each other, the space they’ve built together… it tells you so much without anyone having to say a word.

I’m also always amazed by how much trust my couples put in me when they invite me into such a personal place. It really means a lot to me.

That’s why I usually start every couple or family session at home before we head to a second location. I just love that mix.

And r i a ↟ & Wolfgang Steinbäck … these two were simply beautiful together. Everything felt so natural and effortless, and I think that’s exactly what you can see in these photos.

I’d love to do so many more sessions like this.

Castle weddings will always have a special place in my heart.

The atmosphere at Jasmin Kollmann was incredible – even though it rained the entire day. And when I say the entire day, I really mean it. I’ve photographed many weddings, but I don’t think I’ve ever experienced rain from start to finish quite like this.

The funny thing is: what seemed like bad luck at first ended up being part of what made this day so special.

These two were so relaxed, flexible, and genuinely lovely to be around. We kept adapting our plans, looking for sheltered spots, and making the best of the weather – and honestly, it was so much fun.

Thank you for your kindness, your trust, and for being exactly who you are. It was such an honour to document your day.

And to every couple worrying about rain on their wedding day: don’t. You can’t change the weather, but you can choose how you experience it. Sometimes, rain brings a kind of atmosphere that sunshine simply can’t.

One of the best things about photography?

Sometimes the most beautiful sessions are the ones that were never really planned.

A couple of days before this shoot, I suddenly had a free evening because another session got cancelled. So I put out a spontaneous call, and these two said yes.

No big plans, no pressure, no expectations. Just a warm summer evening, a field, beautiful light, and two people completely lost in their own little world.

These are the moments I love most. The ones that happen naturally. The ones that remind me that you don’t need a special occasion to create something meaningful together.

So if you’ve ever thought about booking a shoot but kept waiting for the “perfect” moment — this is your sign. Sometimes the spontaneous ones turn out to be the best.

Back in February I spent some time in Portugal and of course I could not resist photographing this beautiful landscape while I was there.
What made this shoot even funnier is that .spin answered my Instagram story and turned out to be from Austria as well, just randomly being in Portugal at the same time. Some things really work out perfectly.

These two made everything so easy. Absolute chaos in the best way possible, constantly joking around and up for every silly idea. It felt more like hanging out than working and I am really grateful for the time we spent together.

Now I am very much looking forward to the start of wedding season. June is finally around the corner and with that there will hopefully be wedding photos here again very soon. Until then, I hope you enjoy these kinds of stories just as much.

Cancer is terrifying, unfair, and deeply cruel. And yet, some people still manage to carry so much strength through it.

Susi reached out to me and asked if I could take portraits of her while she’s going through chemotherapy and losing her hair. I had never experienced something this personal before, and honestly, I was nervous at first. I didn’t know how emotional it would feel standing behind the camera in such a vulnerable moment.

But during the shoot, all I could see was courage.

Not the kind of courage that is loud or dramatic — the quiet kind. The kind that keeps showing up every day even when your world has completely changed.

This shoot was intimate, raw, and incredibly moving to me. It reminded me how strong people can be, even in moments where they feel broken. And it reminded me that beauty is not something cancer can take away.

Thank you!
