Last weekend I got the juiciest tomato from Obor Market. Since it would not have survived another day, I cut it in two slices, salted it well, then prepared my meal: a main and a dessert.

I found porcini and my brain screamed: "prehispanic dessert incoming", with a Turkish reduction of watermelon juice and some fresh honeydew melon. Why? Because I am slightly obsessed with how you can mix earthy and floral ingredients and end up with an exciting result. I finished that with fig leaf oil, because what screams "hell yes" more than porcini mushrooms, watermelon, honeydew melon and coconut-like flavours? Can I hear a "hell yes"? 😁
