Obelisco emblema porteño y argentino. Protagonista de festejos y luchas. Símbolo inconfundible para locales y turistas, hoy cumple 90 años este iconico monumento de la Coudad de buenos Aires. Obra del arquitecto modernista Alberto Prebisch e inaugurado el 23 de mayo de 1936 en homenaje al cuarto centenario de la primera Fundación de Buenos Aires, tiene una altura de 67,5 metros, una base de 6,8 metros por lado y un peso aproximado de 170 toneladas. Se emplaza en la mítica y reconocida intersección de dos de las avenidas más icónicas de la Ciudad: Avenida 9 de Julio, reconocida como la más ancha del mundo y Avenida Corrientes, icono de la cultura y teatros.

¿Sabías qué..?

Desde 2025, funciona el Mirador Obelisco. El cual se ha convertido en un verdadero atractivo turístico que permite disfrutar la experiencia de ingresar a este ícono de Buenos Aires y llegar hasta su cúpula mediante un ascensor vidriado teniendo una mirada y perspectiva única e irrepetible.

(English below) El Observatorio o también llamado Caracol, se encuentra en la ciudad Maya de Chichen Itza, a unas 2 horas de Cancún. El nombre de este se atribuye al forma de su construcción , una característica singular en las construcciones Mayas.

(English below) La belleza en las cosas más pequeñas. Estrella de mar azul, en Green Island, en la Gran Barrera de Coral. Se conoce que de esta especie de estrellas solamente hay 2000 ejemplares vivientes, y por suerte tuve la oportunidad de ver una en su habita natural.
Por favor, recuerden que si encuentran una estrella de mar, no la saquen fuera del agua para una foto, ya que esta accion provoca su muerte, y traten de no tocarla tampoco, porque son animales muy sensibles.

Beauty in the smallest things. Blue starfish, on Green Island, in the Great Barrier Reef. It is known that of this species of starfish there are only 2000 living specimens, and luckily I had the opportunity to see one of them in its natural habitat.
Please remember that if you find a starfish, do not take it out of the water for a photo, as this action causes its death, and try not to touch it either, because they are very sensitive animals.

(English below) La Torre Tanque o también conocida como Torre de Agua , es una de las construcciones más icónicas y emblemáticas de la ciudad de Mar del Plata en el barrio Stella Maris. Con una altura total de 88,4 metros , el edificio tiene con un mirador 360 de la ciudad a una altura de 74,75 metros. Si bien cuenta con esta vista como atractivo turístico , la realidad es que su principal función es la de generar el servicio de abastecimiento de agua a gran parte de la ciudad.
En la planta baja del mismo, también se puede encontrar un museo que cuenta con distintas piezas expuestas.
Definitivamente es una linda salida para realizar y poder ver la ciudad con otra perspectiva.

The Torre Tanque or also known as Torre de Agua, is one of the most iconic and emblematic buildings of the city of Mar del Plata in the Stella Maris neighborhood. With a total height of 88.4 meters, the building has a 360 viewpoint of the city at a height of 74.75 meters. Although it has this view as a tourist attraction, the reality is that its main function is to generate the water supply service to a large part of the city.

(English below) Que imponente es ver tanto hielo junto, la inmensidad de un glaciar y uno sentirse tan pequeño frente este.
El Glaciar Perito Moreno se encuentra ubicado en la Provincia de Santa Cruz, Argentina.
Es un espectáculo poder recorrerlo, y apreciar su belleza.
Al glaciar se puede acceder por tierra o alternando etapas de navegación. Desde la ciudad de El Calafate, se deben recorrer unos 80 km hasta llegar a destino, algo de una hora y media de viaje.
El Glaciar Perito Moreno, es uno de los glaciares que forman el reconocido Parque Nacional Los Glaciares, los cuales forman una extención de hielo continental de unos 17000 kilómetros de extension .

The Perito Moreno Glacier is located in the Province of Santa Cruz, Argentina.
It is amazing to be able to go through it, and appreciate its beauty.
The glacier can be accessed by land or by alternating stages of navigation. From the city of El Calafate, you must travel about 80 km to reach your destination, about an hour and a half away.

¿Cómo andan viajeros y curiosos?!

Me llamo Lucia pero me dicen Lu. Tengo 25 años , soy Licenciada en Relaciones Públicas e Institucionales , Cocinera profesional , políglota ( 🇪🇸,🇬🇧,🇫🇷 y 🇨🇳) y como muchos de ustedes, AMO viajar.

Viviendo en Australia durante el 2018 , decidí crear 👉🏽Taking Photos On My Way👈🏽, porque quería que mis vivencias tan lejos de mi país, con un mix cultural tan grande, sean compartidas y pudieran permitir que todos viajasen aunque sea a través de una pantalla, o que futuros viajeros descubrieran esos diamantes 💎 escondidos y recónditos por conocer .

Viajó haciendo turismo no convencional, me gusta, no solo ver lo icónico de los lugares a donde voy, sino también adentrarme en la cultura, gastronomía y vibra del lugar que visite.

Siempre fui de la idea que uno puede ser turista en su propia ciudad ,por eso cuando volví Argentina, seguí sacando fotos en mi camino, seguí con Taking Photos On My Way.

100th posts 🎉 🎉 🎉 and today I come to introduce myself!

How are you travellers and curious ?!

My name is Lucia but everyone calls me Lu. I am 25 years old, have a degree in Public Relations, I´m a professional cook, polyglot (🇪🇸, 🇬🇧, 🇫🇷 and 🇨🇳) and like many of you, I LOVE to travel.

Living in Australia during 2018, I decided to create 👉🏽Taking Photos On My Way👈🏽, because I wanted my experiences so far from my country, with such a large cultural mix to be shared and could allow everyone to travel even through one screen, or that future travellers discover those hidden gems 💎.
I travel doing unconventional tourism, I like not only seeing the iconic places where I go, but also getting into the culture, gastronomy and vibes of the place I visit.
I always had the idea that one can be a tourist in their city, that's why when I returned to Argentina, I continued taking photos on my way, I continued with Taking Photos On My Way.

El Palacio de Bellas Artes, quien ha visto pasar grandes artistas, visto desde la perspectiva de Torre Latinoamericana, dos grandes emblemas de CDMX. Allí, se pueden apreciar distintos estilos arquitectónicos en su construcción teniendo rasgos Art Nouveau y Art Deco .
Sabias que cada año se hunde toda la estructura en su conjunto al menos 1,3 cm aproximadamente,dado el lugar donde se encuentra emplazado, una zona arcillosa (montmorillonita) .Y que durante 1907 -1921 se había hundido 1,80 mts. 🇲🇽
