🇦🇷 Pocas criaturas encarnan el misterio de la Patagonia como la ballena Sei — Balaenoptera borealis — el fantasma del océano. Una de las ballenas más veloces del planeta, capaz de alcanzar los 50 km/h, de un gris acerado oscuro y casi sin hacer ruido — aparece sin aviso y desaparece igual de rápido. Así se ganó su apodo: la Ballena Fantasma.
Aquí, entre Comodoro Rivadavia, se ha registrado una de las mayores concentraciones de ballenas Sei jamás documentadas.
Nuestro fotógrafo se metió al agua para capturar lo que pocos han podido ver de cerca. La ballena Sei es una de las especies de grandes ballenas menos estudiadas y menos comprendidas del mundo. Estas imágenes son extraordinarias. Este lugar, también.

🇬🇧 Few creatures embody the mystery of Patagonia like the Sei Whale — Balaenoptera borealis — the ocean's phantom. One of the fastest cetaceans alive, capable of reaching 50 km/h, dark steel grey and nearly silent — it appears without warning and vanishes just as fast. That's how it earned its nickname: the Phantom Whale.
Here, between Comodoro Rivadavia, one of the largest concentrations of Sei Whales ever recorded has been sighted.
Our photographer slipped into the water to capture what few have witnessed up close. The Sei Whale is one of the least studied and least understood of all the large whale species. This footage is extraordinary. This place as well.
