Over the past few days, I experienced a serious medical emergency while attending Wacken Open Air Festival to photograph for the 999 Qu**rs project, in Wacken Germany Because of this, I was only able to photograph one person before my health rapidly deteriorated.
It has been one of the most challenging and traumatic experiences I have faced throughout my 10-year career as a photographer and artist.
Right now, my priority is to recover and take care of both my physical and mental health.
As a result, all 999 Qu**rs events and photo sessions planned throughout August have been cancelled.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out with support and understanding. I truly appreciate it.
I look forward to returning in September to continue building this important archive for LGBTQ+ communities worldwide, with 200 portraits already completed and 799 more people still waiting to become part of this journey.
In the meantime, I kindly ask you to continue supporting the project through the GoFundMe campaign(ink in bio), sharing the posts, and helping spread the word. Creating this archive independently requires a lot of dedication and resources, so having you all standing with me and supporting this work it makes a big difference.
Having you by my side means more than words can express.
Much love and see you soon, 💛
David
