I love getting to set my children loose on the Danish countryside. Like restless ponies who’ve been in the stable all snowy winter, they’re finally set loose and can be their wild selves. My daughter is tiny in this picture. And that’s pretty much my POV of my kids since we got here - disappearing off into the distance to ride bikes or find secret places in the garden. Every now and then I gather my chicks close for a little family time so they don’t go completely feral. 😆

It’s a sweet thing to share a friendship with someone who’s world intersects with your own in a variety of ways. and I share photography, art, parenting the little years and our Christian faith in common. There is never a lull in the conversation!

Not to mention, Janelle’s epic sense of style and self expression is silently spurring me on to shake off the cobwebs and pack away the mom jeans.

I just wanted to pause on these sweet moments of Janelle and adorable Eli. Being born with special needs, this awesome little dude has needed a high degree of care from the very start. That didn’t leave a lot of room for peaceful newborn mom-and-babe photo moments, so we wanted to pause and capture their connection.

I’ve loved watching from the sidelines as this sweet boy defies the odds by the grace of God, makes us all laugh (especially the grumpy lower lip!), and to see his mom advocate boldly for him and for families in the special needs community.
