The Empty Quarter Gallery is proud to present the amazing photographic exhibition 'OUTLANDS' by MOHAMMAD KAMAL during the opening of DIFC Art Nights, 17th & 18th November 2020, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6-10 PM.

OUTLANDS is a collection of landscape and portraiture works that explore remote locations and rural outposts in China and the arctic circle, by Dubai-based photographer Mohammad Kamal.

The series captures the intersection of the natural world and human presence, spanning fishing villages, rugged mountain ranges, ice caves, and minority communities .

Today Tim, one of Africa’s most legendary elephants, took his last breath. Tim was one of the last few remaining supertuskers. Meeting him was one of the most memorable moments in my life. Tim was not just another elephant. Looking into his eyes was like looking back in time. With his incredible size and tusks he more resembled a mammoth. A prehistoric being from a different era. His tired old bones may now peacefully rest in the African soil, but his soul will forever live in my heart and continue to inspire for a long time to come. RIP my friend❤️
