Noritsu QSF V30 Crossover Rack No. 8 – The Critical Squeegee Rack

The Noritsu QSF V30 is one of the most reliable and widely used film processors in professional photo laboratories worldwide. Among its many transport and processing components, Crossover Rack No. 8 plays a particularly important role in maintaining film quality and ensuring trouble-free operation.

Crossover Rack No. 8 is commonly referred to as the Squeegee Rack. Its primary function is to remove excess chemical solution and water from the film before it enters the drying section. This rack is installed after the final stabilizer stage and before the dryer section.

Why Rack No. 8 Is Important

The quality of drying depends heavily on the performance of Rack No. 8. When operating correctly, it:

- Removes excess moisture from the film surface.
- Reduces chemical carryover into the dryer section.
- Prevents drying marks and water spots.
- Minimizes contamination inside the dryer.
