Today is World Cancer Day!

Let us all fight Cancer together.
* Let’s Be more aware of our body and take action proactively.
* Let’s Be there for those who are battling with Cancer, may be a silent presence reminding them they are not alone in this can mean more than you know.

*Let’s Take the power away from Cancer and give it those who truly deserve it. Amongst us are those who never gave up, those who never gave in to Cancer, those who never let Cancer dullen their spirit. For some it was their family, for some it was their children, for some it was their zest for life that kept them going. They Never Gave Up.

Today let’s send love and wishes to all those fighting Cancer, all those who are brave survivors of the harsh treatment of Cancer.

Five special guest speakers each of whom are Cancer survivors will share their inspiring stories on life before & after Cancer. The panel of four medical experts will offer valuable insights on diverse topics such as the importance of early detection, surgery & post surgery care, fear of recurrence, importance of oral health and on the importance of self care and mental wellness as an aid to healing.”

Thank for the feature. is a Breast Cancer awareness photo project I envisioned in 2018.
Though the project came through me, it has a purpose of its own. Each year hoping to brighten someone’s life. Each year adding new initiatives under its umbrella.

Together with the Brave warriors of Cancer we give hope those coping with Cancer , spread awareness on BreastCancer and initiative more and more conversations around Cancer.

Lovely to see this special photograph chosen by the paper where I stand with the lovely ladies who Shine Bright with their zest for life; never letting Cancer dullen their spirit.

Some messages have the power to humble you & make your heart swell!! “Feeling Grateful” for this heart felt message shared by Sandya a participant of 2021.

“Hello, I’m Sandhya Rajgopal, a wife, mom, grand mom. I’m a native of Palaghat, Kerala, born & raised in Bengaluru. Living in Dubai for 21 years. I was an entrepreneur up until 2019. That year, unexpectedly, I was diagnosed with IDC, right Breast Cancer. There was no family history or other health complications prior to this.
Several scans & biopsies later, I underwent Chemotherapy & Surgery, followed by 33 fractions of Radiotherapy. I’m currently on Hormonal Therapy. It has been quite the ride!

Fortunately, I’ve been blessed with a wonderful support system of family & friends & in this country, the medical & social support has been super.
I connected with Pink Day To Shine in 2019, post all my active treatments & have met some fabulously strong warriors who have some very empowering stories to tell.

I believe I speak for all the women who have connected with Nithya, the powerhouse behind this project, when I say Nithya has helped make us be seen, heard & given us a great platform to connect & heal & be the voice of change by helping spread awareness.
A stupendously strong woman, who has selflessly & tirelessly worked to further this mission- 3 years & growing- more power to you Nithya!
Each one of our experiences here is a treasure - it’s deeply meaningful- something we can all learn from, because it’s a story of grit & light, hope & promise. “ - Sandya Rajagopal
