This year has once again proven to me that time is our most precious resource, one that cannot be bought or added to. And all my learnings revolve around time.

🔘Do not give your time to the wrong people.
🔘Prioritize yourself. Always.
🔘Do something good for yourself every day—something that makes you smile.
🔘Give yourself time (it sounds contradictory, but everything happens at the right time).
🔘Care less about crowds. Don’t waste your time, energy, and mental space on public opinion.
🔘You always have time to learn something new. It’s never too late.
🔘Take some time to listen to yourself; mind your thoughts.
🔘Maintain zero tolerance for BS, disrespect, toxic behavior, gaslighting, or any other form of moral abuse.

Finally, it’s never too late to start over, as long as you don’t give up on your dreams.

Just before the storm…

I took this photo from my balcony as the most severe storm in UAE history approached. It was almost surreal, like a scene from a sci-fi movie about an apocalypse—two years' worth of rain in a single day, causing massive damage.

However, this disaster has reaffirmed my love for living in Dubai. We have a true community spirit unlike any I've seen in other countries. We constantly check on each other, whether it's colleagues, clients, suppliers, or any other community members. It's heartening to hear people ask, "How can I help?"—a rarity in our harsh world.

I think it has brought us all closer together.

I’m grateful to all of you for your messages of support and for checking on me.

It proves once again that in the world of human beings, humanity is the true power, asset, and value.

Stay safe, and let’s continue to support each other.

Hotel #119

There is something very satisfying in having your cup of tea after a bath, even more pleasant if you have such a great view to admire.

I couldn't miss the chance to post something about this hotel where I stayed twice in a row in 3 weeks. It's comfortably located, you can reach pretty much everything in 20min, it has stunning views on Abu Dhabi.

Not my best shots but glad to touch my camera even for a few hotel images.

Thanks Abu Dhabi for your hospitality, I'll be back for sure!

It is okay.....not to be okay.
.. to have bad days..... to gain extra kilos..... to lose a friend..... to break up..... to lose a job..... to lose money..... to close a business..... to be betrayed..... to lose your focus or even purpose...

Socials make us believe that everyone lives in a world of unicorns while your life seems to be a scene from the Joker. Spoiler, we all have issues, we all have gloomy days, no matter where we are, how wealthy we are or if we're alone or surrounded by hundreds of people. And IT'S OKAY.

Remember, the only thing which is not okay is not being in peace with yourself. In no matter which situation, you have YOU.

This year has taught me about the fragility of time and the strength of family. Just last month, I received a heart-stopping message that my beloved granny was rushed to intensive care and had undergone heart surgery. It was a wake-up call, reminding me how precious every moment is.

We often say we're too busy, but the truth is, nothing is more important than the time we have with our loved ones. I'm grateful to say my granny is recovering, and it's a second chance I won't take for granted.

This Christmas, I urge you all to hold your loved ones a little closer. Make that call, send that message, cherish the now. Let's turn off our busy lives for a moment and tune into what truly matters - the people in our lives.

To everyone who's been part of my journey - friends, family, clients, partners - I'm sending you my warmest wishes this festive season. Let's fill our homes with love, laughter, and the spirit of togetherness.

The Art of Inspiration and Imitation

I wanted to share a recent experience that has been both intriguing and slightly vexing. It seems that my "influence" has reached new heights as I've noticed others emulating not only my Chanel earrings, but even a distinctive pose I created back in 2021 at , which I then repeated in 2022 in the shooting for . And now, this very pose has been replicated in a recent hotel ad. The same goes for my business .ae , the whole business model, even the tagline is copied by some people outside of the UAE. While it may have been initially bothersome, I've come to realize that there's a deeper story behind these imitations, and I'd love to delve into it with you today.

When we see something we love, it sparks a fire within us, igniting our own creative spirits. And sometimes, that inspiration leads us to imitate what we admire most. While it may be initially irksome to see others copying our unique choices, it's also a testament to our ability to influence and inspire. It means we've struck a chord with others, and they find something remarkable in what we create. It's an acknowledgment that our taste and vision hold a certain allure.

Moreover, it's a reminder that we possess a unique power to set trends, to shape the world around us, and to impact the lives of others. When people start imitating us, it shows that we're making waves and leaving our mark. Our influence is reaching far beyond what we may have initially imagined.

But the truly satisfying part lies in the journey. It's not just about being copied; it's about what we do next. Not Chosen, Rise Above.

Today I want to talk about one topic that touches mental health, entrepreneurship, career and personal relationships at once. 100% universal and global. Rejection.

Whether it's a job opportunity, a project, a potential client, a place in a team, a friend or a lover, or even a simple invitation, the weight of not being selected can feel unbearable at times. It's as if the world has cast its judgment upon you, reminding you of your perceived inadequacies and shortcomings. You keep questioning your worthiness and replaying every scenario, searching for reasons why you weren’t deemed deserving.

Remind yourself that not being chosen does not define your value or worth as a person. It is merely a reflection of someone else's subjective decision or circumstance. It doesn't mean that you lack talent, potential, or the ability to succeed. It doesn't invalidate the effort you’ve put in or the passion that drives you. Your worth extends far beyond the opinions and decisions of others. Embrace your emotions, but also embrace the power within you to rise above them. Keep pushing forward, keep pursuing your dreams, and never let rejection define your journey.

And always chose yourself. No matter what. Choose your happiness, your joy, your health. Do not let anyone to chose for you.

HYPERSENSITIVITY
(or what is behind my travels and photography)

Being hypersensitive, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

There are lots of misconceptions about this; is it a disorder, a sickness, a curse?

Hypersensitivity is a personal trait (in no way it is a disorder!) that is characterized by a heightened reactivity to external stimuli, such as sounds, smells, tastes, textures, and visual cues. No matter how strange it might sound, hypersensitivity can also be a gift that offers unique strengths and advantages.

❤️ For one thing, we're super-empathetic and caring. I have a deep understanding of other people's feelings and am always there for my loved ones when they need me. This sensitivity has also allowed me to develop a deeper connection to my own emotions and spirituality.

🎨 Hypersensitive people may also have a heightened appreciation for sensory experiences that others may not notice. We may find joy in the beauty of natural landscapes, the sound of a particular musical instrument, or the taste of a favorite food. No surprise that my connection to nature is especially strong, and being surrounded by natural beauty is essential for my well-being. In the UAE I'm regularly going to the desert, sea shore or my one and only .

🔮 Another amazing aspect of being hypersensitive is my heightened intuition. I'm often able to pick up on things that others might miss, like subtle changes in the energy of a room or when someone is not being truthful. We may have a deep connection to a higher power, should you believe in it.

🌍 Lastly, hypersensitive people tend to be very compassionate and care about making the world a better place. We're always looking for ways to help others.

✨ If you're a hypersensitive person, know that you're not alone! Together, we can celebrate the positive aspects of hypersensitivity and inspire others to embrace their own sensitivity as a gift rather than a burden. Let's create something beautiful together!

Happy Women’s Day 🪷

This year is an exception for me not to join any IWD event talking about Women Empowerment.

Indeed I don’t believe in Women Empowerment.

Because every woman has an enormous power inside.

So…

Dear Ladies, do not search for anyone to give you power, search within.

This year I have a chance to tell my story to be featured in ._ book, and while writing it, I felt so proud of that girl that passed through some tough times and still made it. It’s a great tool to look back at your life and finally acknowledge what a warrior you are.

We all have our wars to fight, and this empowerment starts from self-confidence, believing in yourself, and trusting your guts.

As women, we’re all a little bit witches, as I like to say. In reality, not only we have intuition but also all other senses are way more developed, helping us to be the best support system for our family, friends and those in need. So the magic is in reconnection to who you are, your roots, your potential, your experience and your inner child who never knew fear or imposter syndrom.

Stop treating your life like a job interview, where you always need to justify that you are good enough for that role. Ask yourself if this role is good enough for you. Tell yourself, ‘this sh*t will never be my story’ and don't give up on your dreams. 😏

Make yourself proud, girl.

What matters...

I consider Turkey as one of my countries, sharing more than 11 years with a Turkish man, living between Paris and Istanbul for 4.5 years, working with Turkish people (many of them became my friends), speaking Turkish and being emerged in this culture, being the biggest ambassador of this amazing country in France, travelling there when nobody wanted to go there...
.. Istanbul being the topic of my 2 exhibitions (in Istanbul and in Rotterdam with .art )

That's why I consider this catastrophe and tragedy as my own.

And that's why I decided to re-open the sale of my artworks from the exhibition 'Timeless Istanbul' and donate 100% of revenue to (Afet ve Acil Durum Yönetimi Başkanlığı // Disaster and Emergency Management Authority) who is fighting today for the life of survivors and helping all those who lost their homes.

This collection is unique, so all prints are limited edition, signed and numbered. I'll give more details in the coming days.

Today I ask you only to spread the word, maybe more artists or entrepreneurs would join this initiative. Please share this post and talk about it.

I wish us all peace and safety and believe in the power of humanity.
