It all started as a magic… All my life I had been wondering, am I really doing what I always wanted to??? My mind said, ‘yes of course silly, you are’; wherein my heart said ‘you are meant for something else’. Anne Geddes photos had been mesmerizing me since long and I always looked at them in awe. Little did I know the reason behind liking them so much…

The first time it had hit me was when I became a mother. The innocence on my little ones face and my love for him made me capture numerous shots of him throughout the day, of course taken by the most handy resource back then – my mobile phone and then hours spent in editing the pics to make them look even wonderful…Friends & family always appreciated my efforts but I always thought that it’s just their love for me that makes them pass on those compliments and if not that, maybe it’s the beauty of my li’l champ that the pics come out so well. It just so happened that one fine day I decided that enough of slogging at work. I told my husband I want to quit! (This was after spending almost a decade in Human Resources). Shocked in disbelief, he asked me for a reason. All I had to say was ‘I am taking up photography - SERIOUSLY’. Without even asking any questions further, he said do whatever pleases you in life and what makes you happy. I can’t thank him enough for not just letting me dream but also realizing my potential and supporting me throughout. And that’s how Tot-Shots came into existence…

When I started photographing kids, my only regret was not having such cute pics of my son... this genre of photography wasnt this popular 13 yrs back.. the love that I felt while photographing over 100 kids that I have shot in the last 9 yrs has made me a better person for sure. However, photographing this little human being brings tears of joy in my eyes as she is my own, my very taaru paaru!

Their love story was no less than '2 states', the only difference being, they were both from the same state but different cultures... it took them every single inch of their being to ensure that they are finally together and I witnessed their journey and was quite literally a part of it.. the sad tears which ultinately led to the happy tears, were all worth it in the end..

I have been shooting for almost a decade now, but never ever have I felt this elated before..
I had my lil one much before I ventured this journey of capturing these priceless memories and hence missed the bus..
But when these two announced about their pregnancy, my joy knew no bounds... another mini sharma was in making, someone who I could call my own...someone who would be my muse forever...
This boy here, who has now become a daddy, used to hold my hand when he first started walking, used to consult about his relationship(s) with me and never shied away from discussing anything under the sun, with me...
As they rightly say, time flies and it has indeed and this not so lil man, has his queen and princess now!
My heart is full and my eyes are teary! 🥹 This shoot will always always be very special for me... thank you & for bringing Nitara in our lives...
