Spent last night shooting the Grand ReOpening of J.McLaughlin in partnership with Friends of Dana-Farber. Always such great events and a fun crowd to shoot!

J.McLaughlin partnered with Row 34 and the Friends of Dana-Farber to host a charitable shopping event. Attendees sipped wine, enjoyed a raw bar from Row 34 and shopped fall styles in J.McLaughlin’s newly renovated Charles Street store.

The evening was hosted by Chef Jeremy Sewall of Island Creek Oyster Bar and Row 34, and Friends’ Board members, Gina Morda, Seth Andrea McCoy, and Alexandra Slote. Other attendees at the event included Kevin and Barbara McLaughlin and Mary Ellen Coyne (CEO, J.McLaughlin).

One of my goals this year was to start applying to and showing more (read: any at all) of my personal work. I shoot film like it's going out of style (it was, but now it's not...thanks millennials) and let it pile up like Vivian Maier's storage unit.

The following piece will be exhibited first in Calgary at the ArtPoint Gallery and Studios Society Aug 23-25 moving on to Peru and then Europe in 2020. If you or anyone you know happens to be in Calgary during these dates, please do visit.
*Trigger Warning*
I created this piece for the Enough exhibit, which explores the many types of violence women face world wide through the works of 11 international artists. The words are pulled from a piece submitted to me by a survivor of an abusive relationship. I received several submissions and am planning on creating more work within this theme. The similarities between stories was startling and the number of close friends I have that identified themselves as survivors - all badass, strong and so far from the one dimensional image of what society pegs as 'victims' - was eye opening. The piece is titled 'You Know Me.'

Not all vegans are created equally. . 💪🏻💪🏾💪🏼💪🏿 . 7yrs sober, 5yrs vegan, power lifter Big Bald Mike went from an 8k a month drug habit to opening a gym, mentoring kids, and changing lives through his passion for healthy eating and no nonsense working out. 📷 Shot in 2014 while wandering around the streets of Austin, Tx. I still remember what he told me about the seeds of apples 🍎 and our livers. 👊🏽

I still remember the first concert I attended. Halloween at the now defunct Avalon. I was admittedly one of those dressed as w my gf at the time dressed as Amanda. V original, I know; fan-boying w the best of them. About 12yrs later, that voice still gets me like whoa.
