Such a privilege to capture this beautiful proposal. With family there to celebrate, we followed it with a relaxed family shoot and a little engagement session too.

It felt peaceful, cool, quiet… and completely magical.

A few days before the conflict started in the Middle East, I was blessed to be able to capture some beautiful family moments in the beautiful Dubai desert. These cousins are in sync, a beautiful friendship. Matching outfits and excitement just being together.

I haven’t felt like I should be posting happy moments as if nothing is going on, but I have gotten to that point where we need to remember that life is good, and we will get back to the fun and the carefree lifestyle we had just a short time ago. So watch this space for some happy moments.

Turning 50 isn’t about getting older. It’s about stepping into yourself.

It’s celebrating the years that shaped you.Doing things that feel a little scary (yes… even a photoshoot).Taking time to pause. Reflect. Honour where you are.

This beautiful celebration was exactly that — a moment to be seen, to be present, and to mark a milestone with intention.

I absolutely loved being part of it. 🤍

What I notice when the camera comes out.

Some kids get shy, embarrassed or just clingy with mom or dad.

This is normal, and I have my tricks to get your little one to play and smile. It is never going to be perfect with children, but it doesn’t have to be. Your images are to tell your story, to capture your family interacting.

Your family is perfect just the way they are.

“Is it really worth the money?”

It’s the question almost every family quietly asks before booking a photoshoot.

Not because they don’t want photos.
Because they’re scared of wasting it.

Scared the kids won’t cooperate.
Scared Dad will hate it.
Scared they’ll only like… two images.

Here’s the truth most people don’t realise 👇

Beautiful photos don’t start with the camera.
They start with the experience.

When everyone feels relaxed…
When there’s no pressure to “perform”…
When your kids are allowed to be themselves…

That’s when the magic happens.

The giggles.
The cuddles.
The real moments you actually want to remember.

And those never look “just okay”.

They look like your family 🤍

If it feels calm and enjoyable, the photos naturally follow.

✨ Ready for photos that feel easy (and worth every dirham)?

What to wear - Most families worry about this before a shoot.
This creates genuine stress.
Parents worry about clashing outfits, looking dated, or choosing the “wrong” colours.

I provide simple guidance (neutrals, soft tones, avoiding logos) this removes this anxiety completely. The result will be photos that you will want to frame

Your kids don’t need to sit still in the desert. They just need space to be themselves. I love to just let kids be free, explore and do what they do best. (Run away from their parents, and photographer) 🤣 They do eventually come back, and the smiles are real.

That soft sunrise glow in the dunes? It makes everything look cinematic without trying.

When you are all alone it makes it even sweeter. Toddlers can run and play, and this is true for a few months still in Dubai. Even when the days get warmer, the mornings are the best by far.

The desert at sunrise feels like Dubai’s best-kept secret… and it’s perfect for family photos.

There’s something about that early morning light that makes everything feel softer. The dunes glow in warm gold tones, the shadows are gentle, and the sky has that calm, dreamy colour that you just don’t get later in the day.

And the best part? The desert is quiet. No crowds. No noise. No distractions. Just open space, fresh air, and that peaceful “we’ve got the world to ourselves” feeling.

For families, it’s honestly the sweet spot.

Kids can run, explore, pick up little treasures, and just be themselves — and it all turns into the kind of photos that feel natural and full of connection. No forced smiles. No stiff posing. Just little hands holding yours, cuddles in the cool breeze, and those real moments you’ll want to remember.

Plus, sunrise sessions in Dubai are way more comfortable (especially for little ones) before the heat kicks in — which means happier faces and a smoother experience for everyone.

If you’ve never done a sunrise desert shoot… this is your sign.
