It has been a while since I've had the opportunity to view some big cats through my camera lens. Over the last month I've had the privilege of spending an extended amount of time at Phinda Private Game Reserve where I guided out of Phinda Mountain Lodge and Phinda Rock Lodge. Here is the first of hopefully quite a few posts in the near future - a beautiful lioness from the Mountain Pride wakes up as the sun sets over Maputaland.

Leopards definitely dominate this photography page but the privilege of watching these supremely secretive cats on a daily basis will forever boggle my mind.
