For the past four months, Rochelle and I have been quietly working on something incredibly special.

For a while, I felt that Gene Photography no longer reflected the heart behind my work. It was beautiful, but it wasn't truly me. So we started from the beginning, building a brand rooted in four words: warm, faithful, nostalgic & golden.

Every detail was created with intention, but my favourite part is the orchard. It represents every season of life and the privilege of walking alongside my clients through theirs, from engagements and weddings to growing families and beyond.

You'll also see a new phrase throughout my brand: Warm Stories in Light & Love. It captures everything I hope my photographs make you feel.

A huge thank you to Rochelle for bringing this vision to life with so much care and heart. You created a brand that finally feels like home.

This is more than a new look. It's a new chapter for Gene Photography, and I'm so grateful you're here to be part of it.

🎥 Looking for a Wedding Videographer 🎥

I’m looking for a female videographer (bonus if you’re in your 20’s) to work with me this year and long-term on wedding projects 🤍

Requirements:
• Minimum 1+ year experience in wedding videography and editing
• Able to deliver max 10-minute wedding films
• Comfortable working in Pretoria & all over South Africa
• Fun, friendly & outgoing – but not overbearing
• Must understand social cues and know how to work well with a photographer
• Willing to sleep over at wedding venues when too far to drive back to Pretoria
• Must have your own car to get to my house – we’ll travel together in my car to the venue
• Must have your own videography gear (mirrorless is a bonus 🎥✨)

Payment & setup:
• No fixed salary
• Your videography price list will be added to my packages
• You choose your own wedding rate – everything will be discussed in a meeting
