CASPER is alive & well!!

Satara's world renowned white lion, Casper, was feeding on a young elephant carcass on Saturday 18 October 2025.

Apparently, the young elephant died of natural causes. Tourists found the dead elephant the day before, late afternoon.

Casper was accompanied by a younger male, in very bad condition, and a good looking female. They were all chased away by 3 males, late Saturday afternoon.

Being the first vehicle to exit Satara gate to the North, we loved the misty atmosphere!

When this elephant appeared from the mist, with the rising sun in the background, we stopped! So many vehicles passed us, but this was magic!

OSTRICH FOR LUNCH!
We witnessed this cheetah chasing the ostrich, taking it down, and sufocating it at the throat... not for the faint hearted!
It happened at around 13.00, midday! He feasted until 18.00, marked the tree closest, and walked away.
