A couple of hundred meters from our place in Manaba this spectacle exploded. Hundreds of Red Hot Pokers (Kniphofia) in bloom. I spent about an hour snapping away. Incredibly beautiful. I have kept the best to submit to a few salons (photographic competitions) over the next few weeks.

With the sardine run on, along the East Coast of South Africa, the game fish are in abundance. Particularly Shad. Die hard fishermen and women are up before sunrise and are assured of a good catch. Pic taken at Margate pier in KZN at around 630am.
