For this shoot, even the smallest details were given a little extra thought. These beautiful pieces were printed on plantable seeded paper, meaning once their time at the table is over, they can be planted and given a whole new life.

Pretty stationery, thoughtful details, and something that keeps growing long after the day is done. 🤍

Found these in the archives this morning and honestly… 20 year old Jané would NEVER believe me if I told her these photos would eventually lead to me running my own photography and creative business. 🥹📸

This was my very first ever photoshoot, a university project where we had to photograph an unbranded product in a series of set shots. I decided to “try” and make mine a little more editorial and unconventional.

I had completely forgotten about this shoot until today, but looking back at it now, I can see exactly where my love for photography started. It feels very fitting that these deserve a little appreciation post.

And let me tell you… the photos do NOT tell you about the blood, sweat and tears that went into making them. 😂

Story time:

We got stung and chased by a swarm of bees, my model and I ended up crying together, and then he casually informed me that he was allergic to bees and that his throat was closing up. 😭 We rushed to the hospital and thankfully he was okay!

So here’s to little student Jané, her questionable creative decisions, and the shoot that unknowingly started something much bigger. 🤍
