Today marks what would have been the 89th birthday of Jazz veteran Dorothy Masuka. Throughout her life, Mam Dorothy performed extensively both in her home country and abroad. During the 1950s and 1960s, she used her music as a platform to shed light on the struggles of South Africans during apartheid.
