The Lions of Madikwe 🦁

There’s something unforgettable about watching the lions of Madikwe—powerful, majestic, and completely at home in the wild. Every sighting felt like a privilege and a reminder of why the African bush captures our hearts so completely.

A huge thank you to Lucky and Molori Game Lodge for making my birthday so special. From incredible game viewing to unforgettable moments in the bush, it was a celebration I’ll never forget.

Here’s to another year of adventure, wildlife, and gratitude. 🥂✨

In February, in the high plains of Hanle, Ladakh - I finally met one of the most elusive little creatures of the Himalayas…the Pallas’s cat 🐾❄️

This cute little grump was far away, and the bone chilling wind made sure we felt every bit of the -20°C temperature! Standing upright was a challenge and even with the camera locked on a tripod, hidden behind the vehicle, it was impossible to get sharp images.

The next morning felt like a gift. The weather cleared and we spotted the little fellow climbing down from the rocky outcrops - playing and rolling his way down like any typical house cat.

My driver, Dorjay and I walked far out onto the frozen plains to get closer, but the cat remained distant - to far away for that perfect frame. But it didn’t matter. Seeing this grumpy looking Pallas’s cat in the heart of winter, in his natural habitat with not another soul in sight - an experience no photo could ever capture.

There aren't many things cuter than an inquisitive lion cub ❤️ Our fabulous ranger managed to track down mom and her two babies early morning in the Madikwe Game Reserve - it was the first sighting of them since they were born and it was such a treat as we spent most of the morning watching them enjoy a little taste of life (under mom's watchful eye).
