Clover Mama Afrika can provide 4 additional skills training to no less than 19 individuals thanks to MiX Telematics. “We are proud to have MiX Telematics as a long-term project partner. Thanks to their continued financial support, they have enabled us to provide valuable skills training over the last decade and this year is no different. We were able to do the following skills training this last month; Advanced #1 Cooking and Baking, Progressive Biscuit Baking as well as a basic beginner sewing course with the new 2021 sewers. We will also be doing the Advanced #2 Cooking and Baking in June. These skills training is benefiting no less than 19 individuals which can only further help their self-help projects and community alike.”
Said Prof Elain.
It was "camera, lights and action", for the Advanced #1 Cooking and Baking course with Jan Botha and Prof Elain. The training module includes 23 recipes that are still cost-effective but a tad more upmarket for their catering services. “It is important that the Clover Mama Afrikas provide a variety of new dishes to cater for their market. This can only take their catering services to new heights. I am proud to say that the cooking and baking project has enabled the Clover Mama Afrikas to increase their collective income by 27%. This is attributed to the regular training they receive which offers new recipes.” Says Prof Elain.
The 12 cooking and baking trainees from across the country will soon receive their ‘virtual training’ kit which includes all the necessary ingredients and apparatus.
