Tosca Griebenow
I raised this issue because I do not want my work to be associated with AI-generated photos.
The response I received made it seem like I do not understand what AI is or how it works, which is not the case at all. I have been in the photography business for quite some time, and I understand the difference between a photo that looks good digitally and one that will actually produce quality results when printed.
It’s not that we are refusing to move with the times or ignoring new technology. I simply believe in delivering work that I can fully stand behind.
I cannot put out photos that I already know will not come out the same once the final product is printed by my clients.
One thing I always tell people is:
what you see in my photography is exactly what you will get. That is because I have full control over my work, from
capturing to the final edits. I do not rely on typing prompts into AI tools to generate my artwork. When I design, there are specific creative and technical considerations involved, especially for printing quality, placement, textures, colour accuracy, and overall finish.
I am not against AI completely. AI can be useful for certain tasks and workflows, but when it comes to my actual photography and brand identity, I prefer creating original work that I can personally control and guarantee.
