Celebration of World Diabetes Day Workshop 2024👩⚕️
The theme for this year was, "Breaking Barriers, Bridgng Gaps"
Hosted by Oneiro Health and Sr Claire's Essential Care Clinic
The event was MC by Charlene Haupt
We had a wonderful morning starting off with a lovely Welcome and afterwards, immediately the programme was started off with an exciting and engerizing ice breaker from Karlin Davids (Virgin Active SA Sanctuary).
Many informative topics were spoken from various guest speakers regarding the awareness and importance of Diabetes as a whole.
Topics and guest speakers were:

*Diabetes Emergencies- Dr Michelle Allen from Helderberg Hospital
*Diabetes &Nutrition- Marieke Reitz from Somerset Dieititians
*Diabetes & Skin- Cara Lippert/ Almarie Fourie from Almarie Podiatry & Nature
*Living with Diabetes- Cameron Hendricks
*Diabetes &The Eye (video presentation)
*Diabetes & Well-being- Thobeka Mbokazi from TP Care Social Services.
Fabulous gifts and lucky draws from the sponsors on the day, were won throughout the day by the guests attended.
