The sun sets, and the feel of Ramadan slowly kick in 🌙💛

Reminding us that it is when the sun softens and slows time that we start to see the most magical colors in the sky, and the brightness of the moon in the dark. If we only stop and watch for a little bit longer.

The nerve and the peace. As one knows the hardship, but remembers the peace when we are forced to set for a little while, so that we feel a little bit deeper, love a little bit stronger and see the colors a little bit brighter.

May this be a beautiful month 💛

Ramadan Kareem.

George - the only way to capture it right was to make ourselves at home 😜

Think slow mornings, coffee in bed, afternoons by the pool, and a 💋 cocktail (a lil’ bit bold, a lil’ bit naughty - love it ☺️) - as the sun dips behind the mountain, and time does its thing.

A little pocket of calm, like the city just sort of fades out. Which is wild, considering you’re right in the middle of it 🤣

It’s one of those hidden pockets that feels effortlessly cool. The kind of place that turns a shoot into a whole lot of fun !!

Some days you work hard to create. Some days the space does half the work. This one definitely did 📸

You know I wake up to that every day 📸
Creativity isn’t at an all-high everyday (I wish though…). Some days feels “stuck”… and my little A-type brain doesn’t do well with that 😅
But I guess I got to roll with it 😛 And remind myself that sometimes, it’s not about clicking the most creative pictures - but just being there and have fun. So I got in a few morning missions - no plans, no set shoots - just some sunshine, fresh air and my camera…

Remembering what creativity means to me - it’s being more present, more aware, notice the world around … 💛 Sometimes I just get a good sunrise walk, and sometimes I get some shots - more often than I’d have thought.

A little glimpse into my work for ☺️

Tucked away on Harrington Street, it’s one of those spots that pulls you back in. Cozy, unfussy — but more importantly… sooo good. Delicious small plates (because sharing is caring 😛), all built around local, seasonal ingredients ☀️

And that’s what really makes this place special 💛It’s cheeky and playful, but also confidently purposeful. There’s something powerful about a place that knows its story and sticks to it — mastering their craft, supporting local producers, and letting the seasons lead flavours.

They even have a regenerative garden in Khayelitsha 😯 - which means the menu shifts with what’s available. So yes, the “risotto” might not be rice at all — because there’s no local rice. And that just feels right.

Loved capturing it, loved being there, loved working with the team… and already looking forward to going back. ✨🫶🏽🔥

African food deserves more than a single story… but here’s one to begin with 💛

Before ever picking up my camera at .africa , I sat down with for a “quick chat”. Two hours later, I was still sitting here, fascinated by it all.

What started as questions about Edge story, turned into an immersion into African cuisine — its roots, its richness, and how wildly underrated it is. She took me on a journey back to her homeland: cooking over fire, ingredient-led dishes, flavours, but also the incredible social connection around food.

And if you think you know spices… she and will very politely prove you wrong 😅(Also, did you know you can do salt-tasting, because the type of salt you use completely changes the flavour of your food 😮)

So when it came time to shoot Edge, it was never just about the dishes. Yes — bold flavours, layered plates, serious cultural pride 😋 But what stayed with me most was the people. The way the team works together. The energy in the space. Culture shows up - on the plate and in the kitchen.

They’ve closed their doors for now - only to reopen soon in a new location. So please, do yourself a favour - when they do, take yourself and your best ones on a dinner date 🍛

I can’t wait to see the new space, reconnect with the team, and eat my way through the menu like it’s my job (which… kind of is).

Wild sunset scenes ☀️💨

It’s true what they say — the elements shift our energy. They teach us to let go, because who’s going to win against them hey ? 😛

Water soothes, sun lights up, sunset slows down… and that Cape Town wind 😅 … it’s a wild card - it either tests you or blow you into a flow. Take it as it comes 😜

That evening on a wild Noordhoek beach, I got into my little bubble… blown away, sandy hair… it’s a world of its own. And I wasn’t the only one soaking it in…

If you ever needed a quick summary of me 🐒 - here it is.

Creating (or trying to…), wandering, and somehow always running - not forgetting to dress up a little in my favourite flows !

One is my voice, the other my inspiration and the last is my groundness - and I need them all…

Not the full story, but close enough 😋

We are tiny humans… ☺️

And nature loves to remind us. That’s the real magic of it ✨— if we take the time to look up at this big, wild world around us - how it makes us feel so small, yet so grounded ! And that’s why I love it so much.

Cape Point is exactly that kind of magic. How wild that this is just around the corner from where I live - and how lucky I am and how little I actually go.

In January, when I took my mom’s, I promised myself I’d return more. Yet it took and visiting 9 months later for me to wander these cliffs again.

Standing there against that endless ocean and those giant mountains, I got it - the reminder that not only are we small, but often too busy to stop and see how impossibly generous the world is. Nature doesn’t ask for permission to be here or to be beautiful. It simply is — with its power and softness - waiting, patiently for us to see.

Breakfast date with means pancakes (“you can’t miss out”, they say ☺️), a good laugh and strong coffee to fuel the long overdue catch-up. Cinnamon buns to go - they don’t need any intro anymore !
Simple mornings 💛
