JC photo art Jan Corradini. Travel and Wildlife 📸Photographer inspiring your next trip to Africa and beyond! Hi guys! I'm Jan Corradini! And my trusty camera documented it all.

Follow me on Instagram: .corradini and general travel It all began at the age of nine when my parents gave me a camera to use at the start of our trip around the world, stopping in Singapore for a year. I don’t know who the camera belonged to, or what became of it, but it was mine to use for the next few months of travel. That Christmas, I received my very own first camera –

a Konica – and I was thrilled. My dad set up a dark room where we lived so we could learn to develop our own photos. (of course, this was way before digital cameras!)

And so began my travel and photography obsession. Those photos taken by a young girl captured my experiences and the world around me. I remember being curious about the clothing worn by women in Iran, drawn to the serenity of the mountains in Nepal, captured by the excitement of the Chinese New Year in Singapore. To this day, I remain passionate about photographing the experience of travel and different cultures, the natural beauty of landscapes, and the mark of civilization upon them. I particularly love photographing wildlife nowadays and spend as much time possible in various spots that I refer to as “Safari Africa,” now with my Sony camera in tow. My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.

This mama lion never ceased to amaze me. With only one cub, and she hadn't yet introduced it to the pride, she was the solo entertainer for this little guy! Such patience!! 🥰

Nature’s first and greatest bond.

Reposting this Mother’s Day reel due to music rights.

Happy Mother’s day to all the moms, heart moms, sisters, aunties and all the others who showed up along the way when you were needed. ❤️❤️❤️

Remembering a time out on safari in Kenya when we got a call that a giraffe was about to give birth. Suddenly, it was game on! Cameras grabbed, hearts racing, bouncing through the bush hoping we’d make it in time.

Of course, nature has its own schedule. 😂

What we thought would happen any second turned into more than two hours of waiting and watching, cameras prepped and ready.

And somehow, we had the entire sighting all to ourselves. No other vehicles, no crowds, just us. The mother giraffe had what you might call her support group nearby, with another giraffe and baby looking on.

Watching that baby finally make its dramatic entrance into the world was one of those safari moments I’ll never forget. 🦒🥰

Considering a green season safari in Africa? Discover why the rainy season might be the best time to go: fewer crowds, lower prices, & baby animals everywhere.

It’s so easy as a photographer to feel like an imposter and forget all the skills you’ve gained over time. Perfect? No.

But it is nice to look back and realize how far you’ve come, and to remember the incredible moments you’ve captured in your photos. 🥰

Special thanks to a couple who’ve guided and mentored me over the years, especially and . 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Giza is not the only known melanistic ‘black’ leopard in Kenya, but she’s the only one you’re likely to see on a safari.

I spent a week in the remote Laikipia plateau in Kenya, up before sunrise every single morning. And I saw her. Multiple times.

If you’ve ever thought this kind of trip was out of reach: the permits, the logistics, the cost, the timing, I wrote this one for you. The full trip report is live, including how to get there, where to stay, what the Mpala permit situation actually means and what it cost.
