A little wildlife, a lot of Iceland. 🇮🇸🦭
A curious harbour seal takes a moment to survey its surroundings, hauled out on a rocky, seaweed-covered shoreline, with the magnificent Snæfellsjökull rising in the distance.
Around 700,000 years old, this glacier-capped stratovolcano dominates the western tip of Iceland's Snæfellsnes Peninsula, creating an extraordinary backdrop to an otherwise quiet wildlife encounter.
There's something special about seeing wildlife in a landscape on this scale. A small seal in the foreground, an ancient volcano in the background, and a reminder of just how incredible Iceland can be.
