My family is actively involved with conservation and wildlife rehabilitation we spend a lot of time traveling Floridas diverse locations with efforts to help wildlife in any way we can. I am often inspired by the animals and situations that we encounter so much so that I create art that reflects some of those moments.
Shingle Creek is a body of water in Central Florida that is the headwaters to the Everglades.
Understanding the importance of respecting our ecosystems and life within them has effected how I see the world and how I want to tell my stories.
I named this piece Waterkeeper because I feel we are all caretakers of our world. It is important to understand the symbiotic relationships we have with the world around us and how we can effect not just our own life with our actions.
