Some news unrelated to my photography that I wanted to share. Dr Nicholas Coops, Dr Joseph Landsberg, Dr Richard Waring - 2020 Marcus Wallenburg Prize Laureates. They created the now most widely used holistic scientific model of forest ecosystems in use today. Joe is my father in law - and the whole family and I are tremendously proud of this recognition of a truly world class achievement. For more see www.mwp.org

Hi All,

Well after a week of sorting through shots I took at the 2020 Australian Open Canoe Slalom event at the Whitewater Stadium at Penrith, as part of the Paddle Australia Media Crew - I have set up a folder of full resolution versions of a selection of pics covering a wide range of athletes and events.

They are free to access - all I ask in return is to be credited as the photographer if you are re-posting or sharing, or in particular using for work with a sponsor. Based on the way images are treated within the paddling community I know practically everybody respects this - which is fantastic.

I know John (JGRimages) and Carolyn (Caromoda Photography) also got some outstanding shots and can be approached too.

The files are large enough to be printed up to A1 (possibly A0) size.

There are over 900+ shots there - all indexed by surname so you should be able to find things you are looking for.

At the 2020 Australian Open Whitewater Kayaking this week. Up early this morning for the first practice session. It is fun freezing the water during race photography..... played around with another approach this morning to try and pick up the dynamics.

Just spent the last few days at the Canoe Slalom Age Nationals at the Mersey course in Tassie. Up and coming juniors showing their stuff. Thanks to Kate Ekhardt and Dan Watkins for some inspired courses and for taking time out from 2020 preparation. More pics are available via the Tassie event library - link shortly.
