A new photo essay, 'Inside – the 16th Street', is now available on my website. The essay portrays life of a community living in the Manila North Cemetery, the Philippines, with whom I had a great privilege to spend some time with a couple of months ago.

I'm currently working on a project of the life of a community living at a cemetery, among the dead. They are forced to encounter discrimination in their lives, based on their background and living conditions. However, having not much tangible that they would own, these people are willing to share their everything. Their richness is beyond immeasurable in the friendship they share. This documentation, once again, teaches how true success in life is not be evaluated with money.

I have a naive dream.

I have a dream that one day the lust for power, the hatred and anger, would be replaced by peace, harmony and understanding between and within nations, races, religions and policies. That the separation, the dichotomy of 'us and them' would diminish or no more be.

For life itself does not know any borders a creature called man greedily once drew. It never did and it never will, it only protects, understands and respects itself, regardless of any location or system of various kinds of beliefs. A man did not create life, but against all analogies, a man took the power into their hands to arbitrarily exterminate it.

This image was taken at the Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris, Paris, France, a few years ago.

Paris, hold on to your courage. And stay safe.

My deepest condolences to everyone who have just faced a tremendous loss of their loved ones.
