(A look back) It was 2009 😊

What made me decide to buy a camera?
I always wanted to have a DSLR to expand my photography hobby - not having one felt like "drawing without a pencil". Took me about a year reviewing DSLR cameras on youtube and blogs before finally decided to buy one. There wasn’t any urgency that time because I was too busy with my regular night-shift job.
Are you just starting out in photography? these might help.
➡️ Learn the basics (ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture)
➡️ Bring and use your camera as often as you can. Invest on a decent camera bag.
➡️ Take pictures of your family and friends - share the results to them and welcome with an open heart all feedbacks.
➡️ Know your camera - master it first before considering buying additional gears and upgrading. Study the capabilities and limitations of your camera. (Practice shooting different lighting situation)
➡️ Respect people - do not just point your camera to strangers. Develop your communication skills as you grow your know-how on photography.
BUDGET or EXPENSIVE GEARS?
There is a big evolution of camera gears for the past decade and camera manufacturers are developing better cameras every year. Currently, DSLR is being replaced by the smaller-lighter mirrorless camera. Though gears are essential for a photography business, it will never be a reason to stop enthusiast to excel in this field. 📝 In everything, being active, enjoying what we do and continuous learning will still be our best tool.
