I’ve filmed in more than 30 countries. Vietnam might be the most cinematic one yet.

There’s a rhythm to the mornings here that pulls at any photographer - tea pickers moving through the hills in the first light, salt farmers raking white fields at dawn, fishing nets thrown out over the water the same way they’ve been thrown for generations. You get there early, stay quiet, and let Vietnam unfold in front of you.

This is some of my favourite footage from those mornings, cut into one piece. The soundtrack was made with .ai, which automatically scores your video to match its pacing and mood. If you make your own travel videos, the link’s in my bio.

What’s the most cinematic place you’ve ever travelled to?

Finding the right music for a travel video is where I lose the most time. Honestly.

The shots can be there, the edit can be ready, and I’ll still burn an afternoon scrolling for a track that fits - then re-cutting everything to match the beat. And I’d usually rather be out shooting than stuck in that loop.

So I tried .ai on some of my favourite travel footage. You drop your clip in, it reads the pacing and mood of your edit, and scores it for you - music made to fit the footage instead of the other way around. I picked the one that felt right and it already lined up with the length of my video. No manual syncing, no fighting the timeline.

This is the result. The footage is mine, the soundtrack took a few seconds.
