Anyone who knew me in middle school and early high school, probably saw my bright red Sony point and shoot. I literally took that thing everywhere. And I was obsessed with taking photos of the sky. I still really love the sky (just not photographing it so much anymore). The way the clouds float, the light, the color play. The sky is one of the reasons why I love flying so much. Being among the clouds.

Anybody else get spooked by noises in a new home? Earlier this week when I was home alone, our two dogs kept running up to the front door and growling. Of course I couldn’t look out the peep hole because the previous owner put a screw through it. I ignored the dogs for a while and then I heard a big thud. After freaking out for a second, I opened the front door to take a look at what was going on and then I remembered. Our screen door is super loose so it kept catching the wind and eventually swung all the way open and smacked into the house. To say I was relieved is an understatement. 😅

Movement and motion is my favorite thing to capture. I love that photography in general freezes time. But giving people a movement prompt vs a pose just hits differently. It feels more intimate. Like I’m a fly on the wall capturing what you do in daily life. Those are the kind of photos I want to look back on later in life. The ones that make you feel something.
