Having a great time taking photos of the cutest pets at Going Troppo in Ballarat. What a lovely bunch of people running the store. I've already spent more than I've made on a great dog bed and some treats for the furkids, but it's going to a great cause - fundraising for Robyn's Nest Animal Rescue. This is Connor, a beautiful 15wo rescue kitten. A baby snake is coming in soon for her photoshoot - woohooo I love snakes.

Hi local friends, I'll be doing an all-day photoshoot in Wendouree, Ballarat, this coming Saturday. It's a fund-raiser for the great work that Robyn's Nest Animal Rescue does, so grab your favourite pet, and come on down. There's also cats and kittens for adoption, a Mothers Day raffle, and lots of goodies in the shop.

I got a phone call the other day, asking if I could come over in two hours to take photos of two freshly-groomed dogs, while they were still clean :-) I'm on holiday right now, so the camera bag has been put away for a week or so. Panic stations - are the batteries charged, where the heck is my speedlight, and so on! Two hours later, I was welcomed into the most beautiful home and the owner's fabulous garden. Spoiled for choices of locations! I really liked this little garden shed as a background. The dogs were so well-behaved, as well as gorgeous.

What a wonderful way to end this weird year - first off the Laughter Lines project which was so well received in my community, then two Santa Paws sessions full of craziness and giggles, and finally a wonderful documentary-style session of candids at a friend's family Christmas gathering on her animal sanctuary. I love Santa Paws sessions. This is 9 week old Molly. She was a little overcome by all the new sights and sounds, so she took refuge between her mum's legs. So sweet. And this will be a lovely memory of when she was so tiny, when she's older and much much bigger.
