Be sure to get your copy of the finale issue of the incredible Trailblazher Co. magazine featuring the most inspiring and talented Tesa Klein of !
I traveled up to North Dakota with Jessica Casteel to visit and photograph the gorgeous home of Tesa and her husband Kelly. Surrounded by countless fantastic vintage treasures and original rustic/repurposed creations was fodder for the creative soul! We so appreciated their hospitality and cherish the memories made. 🥰📸🌻

After dinner tonight my schweetie said, "Get your camera and lets go out and see if the comet is visible." I grabbed the camera, he put my tripod in the car and we convinced our baby girl to come along for the ride. Could see our breath more than we could see the comet in the sky, but eventually was able to catch a glimpse of the ice trail misting. This is as good as I could capture from the side of the road. :)

God bless you this beautiful Fall day! :)
UPDATE: I have been busy catching up on my edit list and making great strides. Thank you with heartfelt appreciation to my treasured clients as you patiently wait for your galleries. Ya'll know I hand edit, not batch/AI edit. Though it may take longer, my edits are intentional and conscious.
This year has been full of some of my favorite people, and also valued new connections have been made.

Don't get me wrong...I'm all for the aspects of advancing and improving. But, in my time spinning around the sun, I've also come to value the old ways are still the best ways. Some things diminish with "new and improved". The actual value is lost.
Nostalgia is attractive because it has layers, effort, intention, originality, intelligent human character, that lasts.
Keeping the past in the present is essential. We are to learn and grow from a standard that mustn't be forgot.

An excerpt from the short story I've been writing, to compliment the JodieB Creative Concept series I directed while at the American Frontier Productions in Kansas...
"Death is not partial, and always on the prey, only to land and envelope as a thick cloak. Empty, sad, and cruel. Through bravery, love, and faith, it can be challenged."
Character introductions: A dignified ceremony was held in a one room Kansas cabin at the prairie's edge. James Bryan Doherty married Eliza O'Sullivan after a brief courtship and James had enlisted. He mustered September 13, 1861 into the Eighth Kansas Infantry Co. E. Eliza wrote faithfully and would watch the Pony Express rider blaze out of town, praying the mochila holding her carefully penned letter would reach her beloved James in time.

During my session last night out in the middle of nowhere Wyo, south of Biddle, Montana, we climbed up to the top a butte to photograph one of my favorite families. Standing in the setting sun, atop of a sheep herders monument built well over 100 years ago, I picked up a small lichen covered stone, similar in appearance but minute in scale to those that were stacked so precisely to endure decades of the harsh Wyoming winds.
I often pick up rocks and rusty junk trinkets from my sessions. All keepsakes to stack on a pile that I treasure. They remind me of the lasting, and also fleeting, moments we are gifted in this life.
