Hey hey heyyy, here’s a quick update from the Poets HQ!

Although we haven’t been very active on social media recently, we’ve certainly been busy in the studio. For the past couple of months we’ve been working on new material, but also on Olli’s solo music — you’ll be getting more updates on that very soon!

💫 Welcome to my Magical Portrait Studio on Wheels! 💫

Wherever you go, I’m there to serve and entertain while consuming copious amounts of caffeinated beverages. Make your production life easy: don’t force your beautiful actors to spend hours and hours in cars and shuttles to reach a photo studio far away — instead, let the Portrait Studio come to them!

💫 The Magical Portrait Studio 💫 captures those pretty faces on location — be it an old mansion, a fishing hut, an underground bomb shelter, a rusty ol’ garage, an abandoned greenhouse, a log cabin in the mountains or an adorable little fire station!

In other words… THANK YOU for this busy winter season of TV productions to everyone who hired me & to all the lovely folks who flashed a smile or a funny face against my backdrop. It’s an extraordinary job but someone’s gotta do it! 🥰🫡

Hello friends!

Since I have some time in my schedule before the next bigger client project, I'm dreaming of finding some ILLUSTRATION WORK (yes, despite all the fancy AI ​​art filling up the internetz these days, jeez 😅)

Here are some ideas and ways my illustrations could be used or have been used in the past:

🖍️ PORTRAITS (people and animals) based on photos, in drawing or painting style; these have previously printed on canvas, mugs, mouse pads, stickers and other print products — a unique gift idea for friends & family as well as businesses

🖍️ BUSINESS NEEDS: infographic-type illustrations of the company's operations or the flow of a certain service; sketch portraits of staff for websites and social media; social media illustrations, e.g. a series of templates for repeated use; presentations, business cards, illustrations for A-stands outside the shop, window stickers, etc., etc.

🖍️ ART DECOR for homes and offices; digital art printed on canvas, wallpapers or posters (also abstract & graphic style using the company's brand colors or creatively using the logo as part of the art)

🖍️ PROMOTIONAL & PERSONNEL GIFTS such as t-shirts, mugs, key chains, jewelry, make-up bags, mouse pads

🖍️ ICONS, BUTTONS, BANNERS for websites

🖍️ TATTOOS - 100% unique design just for you, of course!

🖍️ COLORING PICTURES for e.g. restaurants or other companies that also have kid customers, either to be given out at the shop, as a corporate gift or as a downloadable file on the business website. The coloring images can feature the company's values, activities or related topics in a fun way.

🖍️ MAPS, INFORMATION BOARDS: For example, I have designed a nature park's trail map with happy hiking-themed illustrations for brochures and information boards (and it was a fun job!)

🐻 I love animals, nature and especially dogs, so it would be wonderful to be able to draw some animal/nature-themed materials, maybe even repeatedly in the future for the same company, if the cooperation goes smoothly.

The pricing is agreed according to the complexity of the work (working hours), but since the artistic inspiration in me is currently strong and I have some time for drawing for at least the next few weeks, I’ll be very flexible with the pricing — at least for the simpler illustrations.

I’m so proud of them. I’m proud of their incredible career and everything they’ve ever created and achieved - all the beautiful music, words, visuals and live experiences they’ve given us all.

I’m proud of everything they’ve trusted me with over the last two decades. I’m proud of every little thing I’ve ever done for them, and how far we’ve come as individuals as well as together.

I may not have anything to do with the music itself (and really, that’s all there really is and the rest is just background noise), but I live and breathe it all like my life depended on it.

Tonight I might just explode into a million tiny, proud, sparkling little pieces as they take on the stage in Los Angeles and showcase their awesomeness to 100+ million live viewers. (That’s 20+ times the people living in Finland 🇫🇮, btw.)

I may be thousands of miles away, but I’m right there with you in all my spirit and all my heart. Break some legs, my loves. You’ll hit it right out of the park, Poets of the Fall

Olavi 💜

Olavi Uusivirta on viettänyt toiminnallista juhlavuotta: erikoisjulkaisuja, klubirundia, pitkä festarikesä... On ollut niin artistin itsensä nelikymppisiä kuin debyyttialbumin kakskybäsiä.

Nyt on aika huipentaa juhlavuosi 40lavi-konsertteihin! Ensimmäinen niistä tärähtää jo tämän viikon lauantaina 30.9. Tampere-talossa ja eeppinen grande finale nähdään puolestaan Helsingin Kulttuuritalolla 27.10. Molemmat juhlakonsertit ovat olleet jo kesästä alkaen täynnä.
