If you know me well you know I love my camera, and although I haven't photographed people for years, I wasn't going to miss an opportunity to see if I could get a decent photo of Mr Tom Cruise as he landed his helicopter in our town.
I'm told by the 'frequent Tom spotters' that last night was the best interaction they have had. So I'm glad I was there to enjoy it too!
Eventually he was so close that (Covid protocol prevented him from high fiving or signing), my lens was too big to get him in the frame. 😂
Tom was super nice to the gathered crowd, he even spoke to me. I asked if he is going on 'Safari' whilst he is here, he replied unfortunately not as he works 7 days a week, although he did just see lions on someone's driveway before they landed. He also said he loves it here and has been wanting to film here for a long time, that it's a beautiful place and the people of our town are respectful and so good to him.
It truly was worth the hour wait in the almost dark for him to land.
This morning we saw them filming over our house. Tricky to film, but I tried.
Having fun in our small town!
