Nish*t Parmar Photography Asian Wedding Photography with an emphasis on capturing all the special moments which build up to make your day memorable forever. I love weddings.

I love capturing the essence of the special moment when two people become joined as one and the love, the tenderness, the togetherness and the happiness that exudes from the couple, their family and their friends. The little smiles that the couple give to each other, the knowing glances from the parents, the laughter as they play the little games before and after the wedding ceremony (and sometimes during it too!). I love being a part of this wonderful world. Being accepted in the families as no longer a photographer, but rather a friend or a member of the family. My style of photography is to be unobtrusive yet available and ready to capture everything that happens. To have an elegant and polished final product which will stand up to the test of time. To create visually emotive images that will either make you laugh, make you cry or simply take your breath away.

I spoke about creativity and I spoke about silhouettes. How about merging the two?

This was a picture I took while Davina was getting ready.

I had all the ‘normal’ pics and I wanted to get creative.

I used a special prism to create this effect and liked the silhouette look. So edited it to really enhance the contrast to make all elements pop.

The importance of using creative knowledge properly isn’t lost on me.

Btw you will love this image cos the MUAs finger isn’t touching the bride. There is a separation which makes this such a striking photo.

Let’s go creative. Why is creativity important?

Look at this picture.

It’s simple.

It tells you a story.

It makes you wonder whats happening.

It’s beautiful.

During a wedding day, there are many opportunities to be creative. It’s important to pick the best ones and the right times.

There are times when composition and story telling will trump creativity. And there are times when creativity will elevate the story telling.

So while it’s important to be creative, I never forget that I am hired to document a wedding day and in doing so I must convey the story of that day.

Part time. When you really get to let your hair down!

We worked so hard on this day that by the end we were all shattered! But that means that I didn’t let my clients down.

I was there throughout to make sure we photographed their day to the fullest.

Sometimes you need a bit of inspiration in your portraits.

Even though I could hardly walk, that doesn’t mean I can’t take beautiful pictures!

We took these in a range of locations around Quendon Hall. Using the location as inspiration and a beautiful backdrop.

Also working closely with my other photographers and the video team allowed us to create these beautiful pictures.

The importance of a strong network.

A few years back, I suddenly became extremely unwell. I caught an infection which made walking difficult.

And this happened in the middle of a very busy and packed wedding season.

This was where the power of my network came to the fore. I called upon friends to help me at these weddings at no additional charge to me clients. We worked hard to ensure that the wedding was about them and not my health.

I did shoot these weddings, but not at the full capacity that I would have normally. I’m blessed that my clients trusted me, my friends helped me and that we managed to capture these incredible pictures.

These are from @harpzjagdev and @sonamjagdev93 wedding at Quendon Hall. You wouldn’t have known about the difficulties had I not told you.

Finishing this set with Jayna and Das’ reception.

I love a good reception party. The noise, laughter, dancing, giggles, craziness etc

But in amongst it you will find some tender moments. During the speeches (for example). Or dancing with friends. Or even little babies.

It’s a beautiful mix of emotions. And I can’t wait for them to come back. But for now, stay safe and stay well. 🙏

Bridal Party Goals!

Seriously, sometimes it’s difficult to get the bridal party out and get involved with the pictures - but I’ve made it my business to do this as often as possible.

I love the natural banter, giggles, laughs and craziness that occurs when you get the right people involved!

This was especially true at Das and Jayna’s wedding! Their bridal party was so much fun! Not only at this part of the day... but throughout the whole day!

Knowing your clients and the importance of it.

I tell this story to anyone who inquires. It’s incredibly important (to me) to get to know you.

If I don’t know you well enough then it’s harder for me to take the pictures I do, but also for you to feel comfortable and relaxed.

I really got to know Jayna and Das in the lead up to their wedding. I knew what made them tick and what they hated (trust me, Das told me...!)

But without making that effort, I wouldn’t have created these pictures, made some incredible friends, got to know their families and built lasting relationships.

It’s all important stuff. Get to know me as much as I get to know you. I’m FULLY invested in making your day incredible!

Always move. If possible, find the little cool and different angles.

Sometimes it’s really easy to forget that you’re creating heirlooms for your clients. So it’s real important (for me) to find the really cool little moments.
