Kylie- Ann Martin Photography Photography is my passion. I'm also a camera club presenter and judge. Hi
My name is Kylie. I have been suffering with ME/CFS since 2006.

I'd spent a while being virtually house bound with this and panic attacks and now i am slowly improving. My photography has always been a hobby, and a few years ago I began the 365 project to give myself a challenge, I am now addicted to the site. I have previously had some photographs published by local papers and have done a photoshoot for an award presentation for the local dive club, the phot

os from this went into the papers and onto the club website. I also do photos of local live bands

I hope you enjoy my efforts

Thanks for looking
Kylie

lovely email from Ashley at Derby City PC
"Hi Kylie
I have just viewed the recording of the Critique Night, and I’m so glad you allowed us to view a recording, especially as I missed last year’s critique night so didn’t submit any images. This time, however, I was able to view the improvements you made to my two RAW images and was very impressed with the time and effort you put in to assessing both of them, and I can see that you’ve suggested some very sound improvements.
The way you boosted the image of the rock on the shoreline through the Oil filter (which I’ve never used before) was really helpful as it helped suggest movement in the water and took the roughness off the rock.
As for my glass walkway image, I will soon be sending you my own take on it which was influenced by the things you said.
I agree with our host, Martin, that you are to be praised for the considerable time, effort and expertise you put in to the critiquing, plus the positive, tactful way you deal with each image. As a judge myself, I always start by saying something positive – even if I’m not keen on an image – and even then, I like to think I offer constructive, and never hurtful, criticism. You have the same careful but helpful approach that I like to think I have. As I viewed the recording, I could feel the approval of our members!
I must consider booking you again next season but maybe this time we ought to follow your own journey through photography. I’ll be in touch for sure!
All the Best

Got up to a lovely email from Clacton CC
"Good morning Kylie, this is to formally thank you very much, on behalf of the membership of Clacton Camera Club, for joining us via Zoom on Friday evening, and for judging the images for our Open Competition for PDIs.
You gave a very fair appraisal of each image, with helpful comments on what worked well within the image, what could be improved (if anything) and its composition – this was much appreciated.
Thank you also for your kind words regarding the quality of our images.
We do hope you will be able to visit us again, and I will be in contact with you to check your availability, in due course.
Take care now and thank you again.
With best wishes,
Wendy"

Best wishes

Really enjoyable evening presenting live to Rugeley & Armitage Camera Club. Super friendly club with lots of positive feedback and a great turn out. Just sad that Paddy was missing...but it was nice to share his some of his critique on my images shown.
