This month broke me a little. It also gave me some of the best memories I've had in a while.

I can't remember the last time I felt this tired. I did the bare minimum, just the things I couldn't escape, because I needed the rest more than I needed to be productive.

But somewhere in there, resting turned into guilt. Guilt for not posting. For not learning something new. For not reaching out for the next opportunity. Like slowing down had to be earned first.

So this is July: sunsets, ice cream because it was too hot not to, babysitting my sister's gecko, and the few days I did get to work on what I love most. Not everything. Just what I had left to give.

August is already starting differently, productive days behind me, and motivation to actually go for it. I think I just needed the time off social media. Posting for the sake of posting has never been my style; I'd rather share something that made me feel, or give something back to you guys.

Learning that rest doesn't need an explanation is apparently still a work in progress ๐Ÿค

This post feels really personal to me because it describes exactly who I am.

I'm always the person saying, "Later I'll do that."

"Later we'll visit that place."

"Later I'll finally start."

Later, later, later.

And honestly? I'm so tired of hearing myself say it.

The frustrating part is that most of the time, I really want to do those things. It's not a lack of dreams or excitement. Somehow I just keep pushing them forward, convincing myself that another day will be better, that I'll have more time, more confidence, or that the timing will finally feel right.

But all that "later" has done is keep me stuck.

I've played it safe for so long because safe feels comfortable. Predictable. Less scary. But I've realized that staying safe also means staying in the same place. And the life I keep dreaming about? It's never going to appear while I'm waiting for the perfect moment.

So I'm trying something different.

I'm choosing to book the trip. Say yes to the opportunity. Try the thing that scares me. Make the memory now instead of hoping I'll get around to it someday.

Because one day, "later" quietly turns into "I wish I had."

Maybe someone reading this needs the reminder as much as I do: stop waiting for the perfect moment. It probably doesn't exist. The things you've been putting off are often the things you'll remember most.

Here's to a little less "later" and a lot more living ๐Ÿค

Lately I've been paying closer attention to the things that actually fill my cup, not the things I think should.

A slow morning, no rush, no notifications screaming for my attention.
Treating myself to good food, because nourishing myself is not the same as being โ€œextra.โ€
Stepping outside for fresh air, even for ten minutes, even when I don't feel like it.
Discovering a new place, a new street, a new corner of wherever I am, because curiosity is one of the fastest ways back to myself.

None of this is groundbreaking. It's not a five-step morning routine or a productivity hack. It's just... slower. Simpler. Mine.

I think we're so used to filling our cup with things that look good from the outside, that we forget the version that actually works is usually quiet and unimpressive.

What fills your cup? Genuinely curious ๐Ÿค

YES, this is the photo.
BUT this is what it actually looked like.

I think about this a lot as a photographer, how the camera doesn't just capture a place, it interprets it. A little more light here, a slightly different angle, a color grade that makes the sky feel like something out of a dream. None of it is a lie exactly. It's just... not the whole truth either.

The eye sees a moment. The lens sees a possibility.

And I love that about photography, it's a form of storytelling, not just documentation. But I also think it's worth showing sometimes, because I don't want you to stand in front of that same spot one day and wonder why it doesn't look like the photo. It probably won't. And that's okay. The real version still has its own kind of beauty. Just a quieter one.

In this series I picked pictures from my trip to Miami last January, looking back at them brings me right back to that exact moment, and that's the main reason I take my camera everywhere. It makes me focus a little more than just walking through it.

I also love adding a bit of grain to my photos, there's something about it that gives them that extra bit of feeling, like they were made to be remembered rather than just looked at.

Meet Giewont ๐Ÿ”๏ธ the mountain watching over Zakopane. Locals say its shape looks like a sleeping knight, and according to legend, he's waiting to wake up when the tatra mountains need him most..

Do we agree it really looks like a knight? โš”๏ธ

Waking up surrounded by nothing but trees, birdsong, and nature felt like stepping straight into a storybook ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿƒ
