🍁 REMEMBERING AUTUMN AND THE FAIRYLAND - III 🍁

“Where silence is not empty but alive, the wind carries forgotten stories through emerald canopies. In this untouched realm, the earth remembers what the world has long begun to forget.”

The trail, at this time of year, feels like walking through a living painting. The dense forest wraps around you, but instead of deep greens, everything is washed in shades of gold, rust, and fading amber.
Every step sinks softly into a carpet of fallen leaves, their quiet crunch the only sound breaking the stillness. The air carries a crispness that lingers in your lungs, while the scent of dry wood and earth follows you along the winding path.
It’s the kind of silence that doesn’t feel empty—just undisturbed, as if the forest is aware of your presence, but chooses to let you pass.

🍁 REMEMBERING AUTUMN AND THE FAIRYLAND - II 🍁

“Deep within the wilderness, where no footsteps linger, magic breathes softly in the moss and mist. It is a place where reality loosens its grip, and the unseen begins to feel real.”

In this season, the forest transforms into something almost unreal. The greens fade into warm hues of gold, amber, and burnt orange, as if the entire landscape is slowly catching fire without ever burning.
The ground is thick with fallen leaves, soft underfoot, muffling every step into a quiet whisper. Each gust of wind sends a gentle cascade drifting down from above, like the forest shedding its memories one leaf at a time.
Sunlight filters through the thinning canopy, painting everything in a warm, dreamlike glow. It feels less like walking through a forest, and more like wandering inside a moment that doesn’t want to end.

🍁 REMEMBERING AUTUMN AND THE FAIRYLAND 🍁

"Far beyond the trodden path, there lies a land that is still rarely touched by humans. Here time flows slowly, trees speak amongst themselves and fairies dance in hidden corners of the ancient forests."

I was lucky to be able to visit few such places where all these actually feel true. Here's one of those places during autumn. And this place is by far one of the most difficult ones to reach, one of the farthest from human settlements, one of the highest places you can reach in the eastern Indian Himalayas, making it an absolute hidden paradise. During autumn, the fallen leaves and the overall dryness of the flora adds the yellowish/ orangish tone to the whole land, making it amazingly beautiful and picturesque.

I will post a few more photos from the same place, same series in the coming days.
Let me know in the comments if you would trek for days to get to this place lol. And of course if you like the photos or not.

🍀 THE ODD ONE 🍀

In the unnoticed corners of the earth, something quietly thrives.
The Peperomia pellucida—soft, translucent, almost invisible to the hurried eye.
No petals. No spectacle.
Just slender green spires, carrying life in silence.
Often called a w**d,
yet it heals, grows, and completes its entire story without ever asking to be seen.
Nature does not measure worth by attention.
Even the smallest lives hold entire worlds within them.
Look closer—
what you ignore… might be extraordinary.
And what's even more fascinating is this one variegated plant amongst all others.

In the quiet corners of the world, a tiny star blooms unnoticed.
The flower of the Chlorophytum comosum, commonly known as the "Spider plant" —delicate, short-lived, and almost invisible to hurried eyes. Six white petals, golden pollen, a design as precise as the universe itself. It does not bloom to be admired. It blooms because it must. And from this fleeting moment, new life begins—tiny offshoots drifting into existence. Nature moves without urgency, yet nothing is ever late. Perhaps not everything beautiful is meant to be seen. Some things exist… simply because they can.

🦉 লক্ষ্মী পেঁচা 🦉
— The Night’s Silent Hunter

This is a Barn Owl (Tyto alba)
In Bengal, we call it লক্ষ্মী পেঁচা (Lokkhi Pyacha)
— a bird wrapped in mystery and myth.

Most people fear what they don’t understand.
But this bird? It’s a protector.
A single barn owl silently keeps entire ecosystems in balance—
saving crops, controlling pests, and thriving in the shadows.
Yet, myths still haunt it more than darkness ever could.
Next time you see one…
Don’t fear it. Respect it.

📸 Nature doesn’t need noise to be powerful.

🐉 DRAGONFLIES 🐉

As many of my old followers might know, I click a lot of photos, especially macros, on my terrace garden. Now, with the departure of spring and the onset of summer, many varieties of flowers, fruits and veggies are coming to life. And with them, they are drawing a lot of wildlife. Amongst the wildlife, there are quite a few varieties of dragonflies. While they are present in and around the garden throughout the year, I have observed them to be in the biggest numbers around this time of the year in my area.

Here are some of the varieties of dragonflies that I have been able to click. While trying to take the photos, I observed these fascinating creatures up close and was amazed by the complexity of their structure and yet the simplicity with which they perform. Their wings follow aerodynamic efficiency. Their body is segmented for balance, speed, and control! An absolute engineering miracle!

Nature always does it best!

🖤 BLACK MARSH DAMSELFLY 🖤

Another one of those tiny creatures that we often overlook. But they are equally important for the ecosystem as a whole. These kinda miniscule creatures are like the measuring index of the health of an ecosystem.

Damselflies generally reside around ponds or swamps or other water bodies. As I have two ponds near my home, although not at all in good condition, they manage to attract quite a bit of wildlife and help to maintain the delicate balance of nature in the surrounding area. So it's pretty clear that saving water bodies doesn't only save the flora and fauna inside the water body but also a lot of other lives that are dependent on that water body.

Wishing everyone a very happy and prosperous Lunar New Year.

As many countries throughout Asia continue to celebrate the Chinese New year, here are some photos that I edited in a different way than usual.

Let me know in the comments if you like this kinda film, grainy, moody photos or clean and crisp ones.

🌸 360 VIEW OF DESI SAKURA 🌸

A final glance at the "Desi Sakura" i.e. the Bauhinia variegata as they bid adieu. With summer's arrival, spring's farewell, and flowers transform into fruits, carrying seeds for the next bloom. There's serenity in witnessing life's cycle. Guess this is goodbye for now. Until next spring.

🌸 200 MEGAPIXELS OF SPRING 🌸

Experimented with the Vivo X300 Pro's 200 megapixel mode and was blown away by the sharp details. Although 200MP mode has its limitations, like no zoom and fixed 85mm focal length, the results are worth it. File size is around 30-35mb, but quality justifies the storage space.
