A line I read on a social media post a while ago - "Some photographers capture moments, legends capture soul of a nation." He did exactly that for over six decades. His photographs of historical figures and events, as well as daily mundane, carried the true spirit of those people and places. As they say, photography is never about the camera or the device, it is always about the vision of the person behind the lens. He was one of the most prolific and celebrated photographers, widely considered as the father of Indian photography, and an inspiration for countless photographers and photojournalists. His passing is a huge loss for the field of photography and photojournalism, but he will continue to live on through his countless incredible works, which will continue to inspire many more photographers. May his legendary soul rest in eternal peace! ๐๐๐ป
