Rui Almeida nasceu em Santarém em 1980.

Fotografa desde 2006 e desde aí tornou-se o seu principal hobbie. Tudo o que aprendeu na fotografia foi por tentativa e erro, tendo sido a internet um grande meio de aprendizagem e também um excelente meio de expor o trabalho, sendo assim possível receber críticas construtivas de outros fotógrafos. Com o tempo algumas imagens foram convidadas para fazerem parte de revistas, folhetos, livros e até

surgiram em anúncios de tv. Em anos recentes com este hobbie, têm surgido clientes de nome internacional como por exemplo, Microsoft, Amazon, BBC, De Agostin, AOL, Spotify etc. Bastante auto crítico com o seu trabalho, procura a perfeição dentro da imperfeição, a tranquilidade intranquila, o sossego irrequieto, a beleza na decadência … Gosta de vários estilos, desde fotografia paisagística, lugares abandonados, manipulação digital dentre outros. E é neste contexto que publicou um livro que mistura imagens com títulos alusivos à poesia, algo que dê que pensar a quem as vislumbra. Chamou-se "Poesia em Imagens", lançado pela editora Mindaffair em Julho de 2014 em versões limitadas. De Dezembro até 10 de Janeiro de 2015 faz a sua primeira exposição física no Centro Cultural do Cartaxo. Publicou um artigo no jornal britânico Dailymail sobre edifícios devolutos em Portugal no final de 2015, o qual abriu portas para jornais portugueses, sites, blogs, incluindo entrevistas em canais de televisão. De 10 Junho até 9 de Julho de 2017 faz uma exposição em conjunto na FotogrARTE em Cantanhede. Frase favorita:

Rui Almeida was born in Santarém, Portugal in 1980. Photographs since 2006 and since then has become his main hobby. Like several styles, from landscape photography, abandoned places, digital manipulation among others. And In this context he published a book that mixes images with titles alluding to poetry, give something to think about those who glimpses. It was called "Poetry in Images", released by publisher Mindaffair in July 2014, is available in Portuguese and English in limited version. In December to 10th January 2015 makes its first physical exhibition at the Cultural Center of Cartaxo (Portugal). He published an article in the British newspaper Dailymail about abandoned buildings in Portugal at the end of 2015, which opened doors to Portuguese newspapers, websites, blogs, including interviews on television channels. In 10th June to 9th July 2017 makes an exhibition in partnership at the FotograARTE of Cantanhede (Portugal). Favorite quote:
