I'm thrilled to share that I've become a full-fledged Ambassador for the Artvocacy Movement and Street Project Foundation 😉😊 It all started when my lecturer, Prof. Egwali connected me to the founders through Dr. Mudiaga and Dr Awele after my artwork gained attention, and unbeknownst to me, Dr. Mudiaga and Dr. Awele had already shared my story with the founders, Mr. and Mrs. Ezenwa 😅😁

When I met them, I was surprised 😮to be offered an express entry into the movement due to my artwork, despite being a week behind schedule. The boot camp training was transformative, helping me discover new aspects of myself and feel more alive, exposed, and free 😀 😄

The Artvocacy Movement empowers young people to use creative arts to advocate against injustice, corruption, and indifference 👌 I'm grateful to have joined and now serve as an Ambassador. Special thanks to the founder and lead visionary, Mrs. and her husband , My Lecturers Prof. Egwali and Dr. Njoku Kenneth and my facilitators – Dr. , Dr. , Mr. Zakari, Mr. , Mr. Edozie, Newton Sax, and Mr. Jato – for their support and empowerment.

I'm also grateful to the esteemed guests who attended my ceremony, including Amb. Lawrence Ikehi, President of NISAYA, the Board of Directors of AntMen Studio of Art, and my friends who traveled far and wide to celebrate with me, especially Ekhator Fernando from Lagos and my friends Felix, Gabby, Excellent, Israel, Victoria, Hope, Promise, Ruth, Zino. I appreciate NAFAAS UNIBEN, Uniben Sug Nigerian Students' and Youths' Association for gracing my ceremony with their presence

To my fellow Artvocates, I congratulate you on this achievement, and I look forward to our collective efforts in transforming Nigeria through our creative expressions. Together, we'll continue to push boundaries and inspire change.

Title: JUSTICE

At first glance, my artwork 'Justice' seems like a contradiction. The hand holding the bag of money is raised, while the hand holding the scale of justice is lowered. This irony highlights the state of our society, where justice is often bought and sold.

The sculpture features a lady standing on a globe, representing the world, specifically Nigeria. Her wide-open eyes symbolize our collective awareness of the injustices around us, yet our inaction in the face of these wrongs.

The use of bicycle chains as the medium conveys a sense of confinement, restriction, and disorder, reflecting the systemic issues that plague our society, such as social unrest, inequality, and corruption.

The bag of money represents power and the notion that justice is now a luxury only the wealthy can afford. The contrast between the lady's elegant dress, the beautiful hairstyle and the twisted chains is striking. This juxtaposition highlights the disconnect between our modern culture and the harsh realities of injustice.

The title 'Justice' is, in itself, an irony. In our society, injustice has become the norm, and corruption is rampant. Justice now comes with a price tag, blind to the poor but keenly aware of the wealth of the rich. The scale's love-shaped top, pointing upwards, serves as a poignant reminder that the love of money can lead to obsession and unjust actions.

Through this artwork, I aim to spark a conversation about the state of justice in our society and the need for change."

"In conclusion, let us unite to challenge the injustices that plague our world. We can draw inspiration from courageous individuals like VDM and other justice fighters who, despite their imperfections, are working tirelessly to bring about positive change. Together, we can create a brighter future where justice is truly blind to wealth and privilege, and where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. Let us stand up, speak out, and demand a better tomorrow – a world where justice is not just an ideal, but a reality for all."

"LIFE WITHOUT PURPOSE"

A message to all Visual and Non-Visual Artist...

"Life without purpose is a canvas without color, a symphony without sound, a dance without movement. It's a blank page waiting for the stroke of intention, a hollow echo yearning for the whisper of meaning. Purpose is the thread that weaves our existence into a tapestry of significance, giving our lives depth, texture, and beauty. Without it, we're adrift in a sea of uncertainty, searching for a shore to anchor our souls. Let us find our purpose, and let it be the brush that paints our lives with vibrant hues of direction, passion, and fulfillment."

Title: Hope/Hopelessness
Medium: Charcoal on Paper

The age-old proverb "There is light at the end of every tunnel" offers a glimmer of hope, but my experience tells a different story. The tunnel is endless, dark, and lonely. This artwork embodies the feelings of isolation and despair that come with facing relentless challenges.

The dark tunnel represents overwhelming problems that seem insurmountable, while the lone figure emphasizes the crushing sense of being alone in my struggles, with no one to turn to for help. The darkness and lack of visible exit leave me questioning the outcome, consumed by uncertainty.

"Hope/Hopelessness" poses a haunting question: will you find the light at the end of the tunnel, or remain trapped in darkness? This artwork invites you to reflect on your own journey, to confront the darkness, and to search for the glimmer of hope that may guide you through.
